Good way of describing this concern. I don't necessarily agree with it but if those concerns (I'm not going to call them "red flags") arise, it will likely be down the road. But if we get 2-3 great years that's 2-3 great years we haven't experienced in decades, and I'll hope for the best after that. OTOH, it's not like Fields is guaranteed to take off and achieve his potential right away either, so there's no guarantees one way or the other. Given the situation of Douglas needing to have some success sooner rather than later at this point, if he thinks Wilson is more ready to start, I can see where that would make him lean that way over Fields.

well i can't speak for others. I don't despise your opinion and I know 1st hand how brutal some people can be on here if they don't agree with you. You can't control what others will do. all you can do is control how you react to it and your own actions.
Brees had quite the unlikely rise. I still kind of dont believe it. He was average in SD, average and damaged goods when he went to N.O.
