personally, I think ANYTIME someone uses a meme or a "gif" in an attempt to "counter" what someone else has said, they basically undermine whatever point they are trying to make. the whole snarky/sarcastic meme/gif phenomenon while debating/insulting someone is low-hanging fruit....among the more unfortunate elements of message board/internet culture.
