Now you are reaching there. Nobody is claiming Zach is the perfect prospect.
Watch the interview of John Beck with Peter King.

They talk about his work ethic, personality and character of Zach. Of course he had some bias as his trainer but he is also the trainer of Justin Fields/Trey Lance and you can see more in depth with real life example of the type of guy that is Zach.

I guess you forgot about Dan Marino lol

recently Baker Mayfield and Justin Herbert both got hit with character concerns. Mayfield had to explain why he wasn't the next Johnny Manziel, like whaaaat?

Nobody say it was ignored? You truly believe that pro franchise and personel with their job on the line are not doing their due diligence?

I am living in Canada and I certainly don't watch ESPN. I do see their clips on youtube when I look for information regarding the draft. All I read/see is glowing praise on Justin Fields.

I am a draft afficionado so I will listen to many podcast about the draft but that is about it.

I don’t believe we’re talking about franchises. None of us really know what they are considering or ignoring. I think we’re talking about media narratives. No matter how hard some folks try to retract the “slow processor”, “one read”, “last in first out”, “desire to be great”... ya di ya da narratives, they are already out into the public sphere having various effects on the perception of Fields. One would hope that it has no impact on his actual draft status but not all organizations are run by individuals immune to group think.

Ah that explains it. ESPN, NFLN & Fox pretty much drive sports narratives in the US. Once a narrative is discuss there whether w/ malicious intent or not, you can’t put that genie back in the bottle. It tends to permeate the minds of casual fans which believe it or not is the masses.

The only discussions I heard after Orolvsky's report and then quick retraction is that this report is BS and Fields is being targeted. I haven't actually heard mainstream media saying the guy now has a question mark on character/work ethics aside from the retracted report itself (maybe there was somehting, but I haven't heard it). It was more like the guy is great but is being shit upon unjustly, defending him. Basically the opposite of the narrative where he is vilified by the media. He is instead being praised, which is a good thing. So, no, I don't see why people like Warren Sapp need to be bringing him in as someone who would be unfairly treated if he made the statement Trevor made. Fields' unfair treatment by the media for his character is just a misnomer, what I see is the opposite.

That was the perception in 2019 and in the beginning of last season when the guy was throwing more TDs than incomplete passes. That started changing after the first bad game, and then he wasn't anywhere near TL after the second bad game. Around that time Jets won a game, and I personally was pretty devastated we lost TL, since Fields didn't look like a great pick at that time. Now he did step up big against TL's Clemson, but never quite got to the point to that 1B challenging TL he was before the season started.

You've literally used it as a source here for scouting reports and rumors. Now they wrote something you don't like and it's crap?

Oh you're right. Because it's discussed on TGG means it's been covered extensively.

Wilson and Fields pay Beck for his services, no? Is his opinion really relevant if they're paying his salary?
