You are comapring the 5-3 Jets w/ Brady and the 3 time SB Champion Patriots? Makes sense. Which games would we have lost w/o Favre that we won?

Huh? What is the difference? We are talking about QBs and their impact on their teams. You seem to think Brady is the only player on NE and that Favre barely exists for the Jets in terms of value. It can't be both ways..besides everybody but you knows Vinitiere won all of those SBs for NE. He got them to half of them too.

Brady's impact was he elevated a sinking ship to a dynasty. favre has taken over a playoff caliber team and has us in the hunt, he has not elevated the play of our team.

Wrong again. Favre has taken over a 4-12 team..we will see how far he takes it. Pennington had sunk this ship about as far as it could be sunk. Before you start on the other pickups the Jets made, go back and see what NE did when Brady came onboard too.

So he had one great season? And that makes him better than Favre in this decade. LOL!! Favre just got done with a season where he took the youngest team in the NFL to the NFC championship game. Yep he made a mistake that cost them the game, no doubt. He was also 2nd in MVP ballots. But I'm sure all that matters is the INT. Not to mention I find it highly entertaining that too make this point, you use the Favre/Penny head to head game. However whenever anyone brings up the fact that Favre beat Miami this year and that Penny threw the game losing INT that it doesn't matter. Why is that? Can you enlighten us all? No wait, we already know the answer, "CAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!". You are without a doubt the worst debater on this board.

if you believe we were a 4-12 team coming inton this season you know less about football than you let on.

What did NE do when Brady came on board? They were 0-2 before he played in 2001, did they make a bunch of pickups prior to week 3? You could INSTANTLY see a difference in NE when Brady came in against us.

WHEN HEALTHY. Chad's problem has bee durability but when healthy he's been better.

GB had a cake sched last year, they play in a weak division, they beat a mediocre Seattle team in the div rd then were upset at home to a team they should have beaten. Favre had a great year last year BUT he threw away GBs chances of going to the SB. I despise the Giants and I like GB, I was rooting for the Packers and Favre was the reason they didn't beat the Giants that day.

What does week 1 have to do w/ it? Favre has much more talent around him than Chad, it was amazing Miami was even in the game. You don't seem to understand this, you act like they have teams at the same level. They are playing like but we have a MUCH more talented team- there's no way they should only be a game behind us at midseason.

Wow you're really on a roll with telling people they know nothing about football.

So let me ask you, Vince, what makes you such a football expert? The fact that you can run to nfl.com every 12 minutes and dig up statistics?

I can't help but say, only a jackass would do that. Jackass.

False. I am utterly shocked to see this comment made by a fan in the same division. Lest we forget that Brady took over the team after Drew Bledsoe got them to the AFC Championship game due to a injury in the prior game.

Brady's career started by taking over a team that was litterally on the brink of winning a SB.

I'm sorry, he didn't elevate shit. They were already there. You can give him credit for keeping them there, but he didn't get them there to begin with.

As for saying hte Jets are a playoff Caliber team: Thats on paper my friend. On the field they are the captains of inconsistency. A few players (like the man-beast Kris Jenkins not withstanding) are consistent, everyone else is up and down. The jets are a playoff caliber this year, yes, but you couldn't say that for certain before the year started, and the talks int he media of the jets in the playoffs did not start till #4 became a jet.

THere is pretty much significant doubt that Chad, or Clemens, would of took the team to the playoffs. I am not saying they could not have, but most doubted they would. This team became playoff caliber in people's eyes because with #4, you have a chance to win every single game you play no matter who it is.

John Madden has a deep and serious man crush on Brett Lorenzo Favre. So does Steve Mariucci. Now, it appears Jim Haslett is expressing longtime feelings of love and devotion too.

    Chad, not so much.

There's all the proof you need, right there.

I think I can still read and it said 4-12 to me. Thank your boy for that. Why do you think he is gone and Clemens is on the bench and Favre is the QB anyway? Did you ever think about it, even for a second?

Please don't tell me false when you don't know what you are talking about. NE was a skinking ship, they fell to 5-11 in 2000 and started 0-2 w/o Brady in '01. he then led them to 11 wins in 14 games and he led them to the div playoff win over the Raiders(remember the tuck game?). Brady then started the AFC Championship and departed after getting hurt. Bledsoe was the QB for the rest of the title game. get your facts straight before you boast about what you know.

They were already there? 5-11 in 2000, 0-2 to start 2001. How exactly were they already there?

I could absolutely say we were playoff caliber before the year started b/c we were w/ all the upgrades we made and we have been an every other year team since '02.

We had a MUCH less talented team in 2006 and Chad less us to 10 wins and the playoffs so there's little doubt he would have at worst had us in contention.

Chad was why we were 4-12 last year? but Chad had nothing to do w/ the 3 playoff apps, right? if you think the QB was why we stunk last year you know less than Johnny Johnson. Favre at his peak in the 90s couldn't have succeeded behind that OL, Brady couldn't have succeeded behind that OL.

You don't remember all the newspaper articles saying how crappy both QBs looked in TC? Oh right, they never made it past the man-love filter.

No, Chad was definitely not the reason we were 4-12 last year. True, the OL was a major reason why.

However, Chad couldn't even hold onto his job last year.

You don't bench a "good" QB on a bad team. You don't bench a QB for the sake of benching him. Clemens played with the same team and led us to more wins. That tells me that Chad just wasn't getting the job done.

When I post a relevant newspaper article you dismiss but you want posts about articles before the QBs ever played a preseason game. This is a joke, right? You are just acting to try to fool all of us? Please tell that's the case.

If he actually stays healthy. With the hits Favre has taken this season,t hat would be in severe doubt.
