Favre is average because the system this OC is calling. Did you see the season last year. When he's allowed to throw the ball down the field, and I mean 10-15 yards, he moves the chains. He is doing exactly what the game plan is calling for. Hooks, screens, and checkdowns. Open up the playbook, like vs AZ, Tenn, NE and you'll have the Favre you were hoping for.

You're right. You got our CS and OC to thank for that.

Win/Loss records don't agree with you.

Way to steal my arguments. Of course it is a team game. I was merely commenting on the whole argument that what is important are # of TD passes thrown and the win/loss column. Because everyone this year has beaten me over the head with it. Nevertheless, the Dolphins are sitting in a position to steal the division from the Pats and Jets.

Of course what I was saying was not in reference to you, or anything YOU were saying so I'm not surprised at YOUR confusion.

What was Chad's record last year, not so smart guy?

Seems like the Jets are much better off with Favre if record is the measure. Like 8 times better.

Now if what really jazzes you up is how hte fish are better this year, should I send you the url for finheaven?

You contradict yourself. If it's a team game, perhaps that is the reason why the Jets were 1-8 under Chad last year compared to the fish record this year.

In other words, different team, same Qb. Different results? Why?

To suggest it is all on the QB is incorrect.

But Chad Fans are impervious to the facts.

Come on... this is retarted... The dolphins have a real coaching staff and a real offensive coordinator, not the posers we have.

The point is an objective look at how both guys are doing this year, which is relevant since we're all in a three-way tie atop the division. Nobody is rooting for Miami, but it's funny how hyper-sensitive you Chad haters are as you get proven wrong again and again week after week.

Another Chad/Brett thread? i love both QBs, but the argument is irrelevant. We'll see who wins in week 17, that will be a much better indicator than the Stat Book.

Sure if you watch games to count turnovers and run through imaginary hypothetical scenarios in your head. I watch to see if my team scores touchdowns and wins games. These are the things I enjoy most.

Talk to me when mighty Chad Pennington plays against the Steelers, Ravens or Titans if they make the playoffs and get the opportunity.

If he does, he won't do shit. Write it down, put it in your sig, whatever. He will choke and have the old deer in headlights look in his eyes.

I feel much more confident with Favre against any of those teams than the all mighty Chad Pennington any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Chad has had a very good season so far. Brett has had an OK season with big ups and downs. Bretts peaks are much higher than Chads and that's why he is here.

And Pennington is not new to the Dolphins...or is he?

A lot of ignorant people on this board that just plain and simply hate Pennington. Bunch of dumbasses that don't really know what's football. Pennington has always been an efficient QB that had always been around avg. to below avg. team. He's at a better place now and is proving all the fools wrong, including the Jets CS.

Yeah, im sure the Jets are so sad Pennington left. Get real. Class guy, but everyone knows he isn't winning a playoff game if the Fins do happen to make it this year. He is only a stop gap for the fins. They will never be a super bowl contender with him at the helm.

I never said it was all on one guy... you know... for someone who writes as well as you do, you really aren't that bright sometimes.

It's not even the fact that he's gone, because we replaced him with Favre. The problem is he went to a division rival who is now tied with us for the division and will be here to play us for it in Week 17. They aren't anywhere close to that without him, anyone but the most stubborn haters will tell you that much.

I like how big blocker wants the thread closed and then posts in it about 6 times. Dont like he thread then dont post in it. Simple.

We cant escape that this is part of our story this year. We made a move and it didn't pan out. In fact its blowing up in our faces. Letting our guy from the old days go to a devision team and put pressure on us down the stretch.

I have little doubt we would have been a better team this year with Chad then we are with Brett. Hopefully we can over come that and make the playoffs.

But one thing is for sure. I DONT want favre back next year. Its time to find our future at QB.

Personally I am kind of indifferent to Chad himself. I thought he didn't accept the blame for his shortcomings over the years, and it was frustrating the way he would look good in camp and against the weak sisters, then sh!t the bed against the real competition. But a Chad hater? I plead innocent.

It's the Chad Fans here I don't care much for. Your post is a perfect example of all that is wrong with Chad Fans.

You say the comparison is relevant since there are teams in a three way tie - but Cassell was not included, and the Jets do not play Miami for three more weeks. In any event, how does a qb head to head comparison show anything about there being a three way tie? How is the comp relevant to being in a three way tie?

Don't even bother - there is no relevance, and you know it.

What it IS relevant to is the ongoing sob story of Chad Fans who refuse to accept that Chadwick is gone. No other player in the NFL gets as much posted about him as Chad, no former Jet player, no player we are about to see on an upcoming opponent. In fact no other player gets a tenth as much posted about him. I could say a hundreth and not risk being proven wrong.

It is also far from the case that those of us happy to see him leave have been proven wrong. How so? Have you read the other posts above refuting this point of view? Answered them? No.

What the point is, the ceaseless bleating by Chad Fans for all things Chadwickian, is the ongoing denial that he is gone, the anger at those of us happy about that, the refusal to accept that this is a forum for talking about the New York Jets, of which he is not presently or will ever again be a member.

You and the others want to stink up this place with your fond remembrances, feel vindicated with your point of view when vindication is unwarranted, and generally refuse to accept reality.

I am comfortable with my own perspective on all this, but I concede I do come here, come to this site, to talk about the NEW YORK JETS, not someone who plays for the MIAMI DOLPHINS.

And to state the obvious, I don't buy for a minute that Chad Fans here do not root for him, even now. Isn't that something? People who call themselves Jet fans rooting for a player on Miami?

We need not even go into how Chad Fans feel every time Favre doesn't complete a pass.
