Was Favre responsible for the horrible/gutless coaching decisions Mangina made in Seattle? In SF?

Clearly it's both. Favre played like an tired old man the last month of the season and made awful decisions. But the rest of the team played like utter shit as well. The players didn't make the plays, but the coaches clearly didn't prepare them well enough either.

If you are 8-3 after beating two premier AFC teams and have an easy schedule remaining, it is inexcusable to miss the playoffs. Favre is an old piece of shit, and Mangini was never any good. The entire front office along with Favre need to be taken behind a building and shot.

I agree. Favre killed us. Defense didnt help. Coaching was uninspired. But we were 4-12 last year -- and would have killed for 9-7. When Favre was brought in expectations were raised BECAUSE of him and he was awful.

    He should have been fired.

    (Will Lions hire Mangini?)

The guy who gave you the most hope, killed you dead, and the idiots in charge want him to return.

Mangina made the trade for Favre

Thus it was fitting that Favre's total ineptitude got Mangina fired

Listen fellas, your not going to be a successful team if your QB leads the league in turnovers. It just doesnt work that way
