Coles-Moss was never really a plausible tandem anyways.

As has been stated in this thread already, Moss was injured his rookie year in 01. His first real year as a WR was in 02, where he primarily was the 3rd option behind Coles and Chrebet.

02 was also Coles' breakout year. After 02, Coles jetted to Washington, and Moss stepped up to take his place. 2 years later we'd trade Moss to get Coles back.

So you see the only real year Coles-Moss could have happened was 02, and back then we didn't know Coles would play as well as he did, and Santana was basically a rook. Coles and Chad had great chemistry and it showed on the field.

Did you even watch Chad in 02? His arm was more than fucking adequate. It was fucking fine. He wasn't the reason a Coles-Moss combo was 'held back' in anyway whatsoever.

Too bad Matthew Hatchette and Justin McCareins time with the Jets didn't overlap or that would clearly be the runaway winner.

The only reason I put Chrebet and Johnson is because Chrebet is my favorite player of all time. Mostly because when I was a young kid I met him at a signing and I was at the end of the line and there was nobody left after he was done signing for me, but instead of getting up and leaving me he decided to spend around 10 minutes sitting there with me and my mom BSing about his ankle (he was injured at the time) and baseball (lol). Definitely the nicest athlete I have ever met, my favorite of all time, and I wear his jersey whenever its appropriate.
