He has not played a down in Green & White, but Kris Jenkins is my new favorite Jet. This team has been trying to fill that role for years and they always get these undersized guys with "a good motor". This could be actually be the guy that puts a stop to those embarassing 15 play drives which include 12-14 runs up the middle. God bless this big fat ass of a man.
he was just not a nice guy.. called fouls like a little girl, even his teamates (bball teamates) were calling him a little bitch.. but after the games and what not he just wasnt a nice guy..
For God's sake Champ, just answer the simple question or don't bother. My favourite player was and will remain Chad Pennington. For me, a favourite player goes beyond common sense, productivity and realism. Chad will be my favourite Jet until he leaves the team, even though I very much fear he is a spent force as an NFL quarterback. He gave us that phenomenal 2002 season and took his team to within a field goal of the AFC Championship game with his rotator cuff in tatters in 2004. Nobody will be happier than me if he proves me wrong and comes back strong in 2008 and there's nobody I would prefer to see lead this team to a Super Bowl. I did say it had nothing to do with realism...
no offense, but thats what your posts normally look like, so its improbable to read it and know if this time your being completely sarcastic. Favorite Current Jet-- Tie between Harris and Revis - that draft day was like Christmas for me, back when I believed Santa Claus was real.
Mangold without a doubt. Young tough player who is all heart and will be our anchor at Center for years to come.
Cotchery. I had a feeling he'd be great back when he was drafted...he gave Torry Holt's stats a run for their money in college. I think his potential is even greater than what he's shown. I think the media's underplayed how much he's done already...he's been our #1 receiver for over a year, already, and somehow no one's discovered that.
Rhodes,Mangold.(what monsters we have top notch players in the entire NFL) Really tough hard nosed playas, badasses.Cotchery,Harris,Revis and Washington are right there almost.
Definitely Coles. Though I'm a defensive type of guy, you just have to love how he goes out there and lays it all on the line, every game, sacrificing his body for the ball. How many times have you seen him go up for a pass, knowing that he is going to get slammed but extending his body anyway. As an old football coach I had used to say, "You've gotta play with reckless abandon" and he does.
Kerry Rhodes with Harris and Leon right behind. I love Coles, too, although I've been a little turned off with some of his contract stuff. On the field though you know he's bringing all he's got.
Technically my favorite has to still be Chad Pennington. He is the man. Sad how things have turned out for him with this franchise.
