So Don, basically, anything you believe is truth, and whatever anyone else says is bullshit?

I don't have a problem hitting guys so long as it is done correctly, a ball to the ass = no injury, I do agree that headhunting is crossing the line, that is way too dangerous

I don't know how you get inside Farnsworth's head. It was obvious he was throwing at him but I have a hard time believing he was trying to hit him in the head. I hate seeing guys throw near heads and if they could somehow prove a player has done this I would be all for a long suspension but it's hard to prove. The big probl;em here is whenever the Yankees are hit or something happens to the Yanks nothing is done but if the Yanks do anything they get suspensions. This is now the 2nd reliever we have lost to a supension after hitting/almost hitting a Sox player yet for years Sox pitchers have plunked our guys or tried to plunk them w/o any punishment.

Not at all but the facts speak for themselves and you would have to be blind not to see them. There are two sets of rules for Watson. One for the Yankees and one for everybody else. It's obviously his personal vendetta. If he wants to apply the same rules for everyone then I'm fine with that. If you cause a warning then you get suspended. Ok. If you hit somebody then you get suspended. Ok. Not if the Yankees cause a warning or hit somebody you get suspended and everybody else in the league gets ignored.

Actually, the last two, Chamberlain and Farnsworth didn't hit anybody. At least I could understand Chamberlain's to some degree because both piytches went over the head even if it was by 2 feet in both cases.

It's the same thing with the Tampa pre-season near fight. If you want to given Duncan 3 games, fine but to give Cabrerra more than Gomes was ridiculous. If a fight had broken out it would have definitely been because Gomes charged in from right field.

I'm sure that's why Watson dropped the length even before there was a hearing. Somebody said something to him.

No, I give Farnsworth more credit. I think he was clearly trying to through behind Manny, and was clearly throwing the ball up. I don't think he was actually trying to hit Manny, but I also don't think he's a good enough pitcher to be playing around in that area. Not that any other pitcher should be doing that, either. But that's certainly the reason for the suspension. Anywhere else with that pitch and nothing would have come of it.
