Give the kid a break for the awful 2nd half; Zach probably forget what a football looks like, let alone how to throw it, after having only 70 seconds TOP in the 3rd Qtr.
I was being facetious. ... No way in hell they would EVER cut prices no matter how bad the Jets get. Why should they? If the fans are stupid enough to give them money, the Jets should take it. As far as opposing fans invading MetLife? I've seen it and watching the Philly feed of the Jet game today, I actually heard it and saw it. The 2021 New York Jets.. May they rest in peace..
Obviously nobody's losing the locker room because a rookie QB is playing poorly. But if Wilson plays poorly the rest of this season, and he plays poorly in camp next year, and the Jets hand him the job next year because he was a number 2 pick, and he continues to play poorly the first few weeks of next year, then yes, they're going to lose the locker room.
I'm guessing no. If somebody did it was likely in the AFL before the merger. Teams just didn't trade draft picks and particularly 1st round picks much after the merger. Recently that changed, probably along about the time the salary cap and free agency came into play
I had season tickets for 20+ years including the Parcells years. There were always opposing team's fans in the stadium. This isn't anything new.
We're talking a much higher percentage of opposing team fans than in the past. Today sounded more like Lincoln Field than Met Life. The Miami game I went to had LOTS of Phin fans and rows of empty seats.
They should have built their own stadium... the PSL's have a big hand because yes, there was always opposing but holy crap, it was never this bad... never.
75% of the stadium has been the opposing teams fans (assuming they weren’t on the West Coast) post November 1 for most of the past decade. I’m not sure why you’re OK with the trash product yielding that but more power to you for being OK with Eagles fans ruling MetLife home games.
I never said I was ok with it. I just don't agree with your take that this is something new. Have you ever been a season ticket holder? I'm guessing no. This has been going on for decades.
Yup. Sure have. Season tickets in my family from 91-2008. Just because it’s not new, doesn’t make it acceptable, which is the tenor of what your post felt like. Perhaps you shouldn’t be so smarmy and contrarian at all times, huh?
How do you know this? Are you in the locker room? Or are you just guessing? Because it looks to me like the team understands hes a rookie and it takes time. Clearly all of them have been rookies at some point.
I wasn't asking you but thanks for answering. My father in law had season tickets dating back to 1968. Doesn't mean I had them. CMan was talking like the opposing team's fans being in the stands is something new due to the Jets' current poor play. My point is that it isn't new. This has been going in for years, even when the Jets were good. Any long time season ticket holder knows this.
Of course I'm just guessing, that's what everyone on this forum does when we give an opinion on the team. And I know the team understands he's a rookie and it takes time. But next year he won't be a rookie, and they're a lot less likely to cut him slack then.
