Hah this team has me baffled. When the pitching is decent they can't get any runs, and vice versa.... When will they get it together?!
Few things: 1) You can't give Teixeira shit for last night. Sure, that was a weak popup in the end, but he's the only reason there were extra innings in the first place. (And I know Cappy won't give a shit, but I liked that he was legitimately pissed off when he got back to the dugout.) 2) You can't complain that Mo only pitched one inning. He can't pitch two. We've seen it over and over again. He can give you one brilliant inning, but if you bring him back out, you significantly raise the chances that he'll throw a meatball. 3) Bruney is out longer than the original 15. We're screwed. 4) Not having even a decent offensive catcher on the roster kills us. (While Posada is out.) 5) We got completely screwed on a terrible non-strike call. 6) We suck. It's too bad I had to put up so much drama and not go to the game with my brother. I could have watched the Yankees get dominated by Andy Sonnenstein, sit in the pouring rain, and watch them come back just to shit the bed in the end!

And for some reason, regardless of the fact that he's pitched well in SWB, Tomko is still not on the pro team's radar. Now I'm starting to get agitated with Cashman. I don't have a problem with the players he's brought in, but he is responsible for who is on the pro roster, and if Girardi doesn't want a guy, it falls on him to demand it, and if he's not bringing a guy who is performing to hold onto a guy like Veras so as not to "lose" him without compensation, then that's a big problem.
I was watching at my friend's apartment last night. I thought the game should've been stopped before the Teixeira AB. It was pouring hard already. By the way, my friend is a Yankee fan and he really wants to go to a game. If anyone knows of a good deal on weekday tickets, let me know.
A few nights ago Joba was pitching in rain just as bad. If they stopped games in the AL/NL East whenever it rained hard this year, there would be lots of cancelled games.
