In a perfect world we would have cut McKnight and kept Chauncy. The problem is some other team would have probably picked him up. McKnight was a fail this year. If one of our backs gets hurt we will pull washington up from the practice squad. We will use woodhead/connor as a stop gap during the game with the injury. McKinght will be inactive the whole season. He will get another shot next year, if he still can't hack it he will be cut.
So there's no chance he improves during the season and makes the active roster at some point? Damn, some of you just get all you need to know from the preseason. Why bother watching the regular season games?
Chauncy should be in there and Mcknight to the practice squad. i think his return capabilities is the only thing that prevented that. But we have Brad Smith...so... I dunno. But this is the third spot we are worried about so it can't be that bad right?
No, the fact that no one else in the league wanted Chauncey and several teams would have jumped to take McKnight is the reason why Chauncey was released and sent to the practice squad.
