It depends on how one defines the term loser. The Vikings are tied for 4th place for NFL playoff appearances by seasons with 24. Only the Cowboys, Giants, and Rams have more playoff appearances by seasons.

The Vikings are in 6th place in all-time regular season winning percentage.

    Bears .580
    Dolphins .580
    Cowboys .578
    Raiders .561
    Packers .558
    Vikings .549

Of course, the Vikings haven't won a Super Bowl.

There certainly are quite a few teams that are bigger losers, however.

Well, whether you are or not, you've certainly offered the most informed opinion I've ever seen of T Jack outside of Vikings message board. You obviously know your subject. Are you a Vikings fan? Because if you are, I'll tone down my anti-Minnesota rants for your sake. I can't stand that team, but I don't want to taunt you if you're a fan.

I am not a Vikings fan, but I do like them more than most teams.

I hated when they smacked the Saints 44-10 in the 1987 postseason. But when Anthony Carter put 227 yards on San Francisco's ass the following week, I was happy.

Oh, and because you are a Packers fan, I fully understand your mocking of the Vikings. It's what we do here when it comes to the Dolphins.
