Or if the TE that was there was likely to be a better player. Olsen just has B prospect written all over him. He's no better than Jolley was when he came out and Jolley went on pick 55, which is about where Olsen should be going.

YES DO! Both him and Shockey in NY would make some interesting news.

Olsen is a much better prospect than some of you guys are giving him credit for. He is big, fast, tough with good hands. All receiving TEs coming out of college need work on there blocking.. The potential is there & the need for offensive playmakers is pretty big too.

I think we will end up looking defense in the first round with Spencer & Harrell being the most likely. But if Olsen is the pick, I'm going to trust Mangini & Schotty on this one. I would much rather Olsen than Blaylock, that is for sure.

The guy caught 6 TD's and totaled just over 1200 yards receiving in 3 seasons in college. What the hell is so impressive about that? He had a great combine, but never produced when it mattered.

I just don't get it with all the love for this guy. I really cannot begin to understand.

With Okoye on the board, no way on Branch...

I cant believe both of these guys are left at 25. No chance in hell this happens come draft day.

But for this little mock draft they have, they BETTER get us Okoye.

He has been falling for a long time now, so this wouldn't surprise me all that much

He shouldent fall past 25....at least if I were the Jets.

He has some knee problems and was rather ehh on production but hes a monster DT and with the right coaching would be ideal here for us.

I agree, although he went from potentially a top 5 pick to a mid to lower 1st round pick, although if given the choice of Okoye or Branch it is no contest

thebig knock on branch is his motor, and the lack of it going all the time. the huge knock (as far as the rumors go) on him is something about BOTH legs having stress fractures.

i wouldnt pass on him at 25 either though....the talent and size are there, and at 25 hes a steal.

okoye doesnt fit the system thats in place for the jets. hes undersized for a NT....and one thing being looked past is that he is ONLY 19 years old. thats going to make him the youngest player drafted....not only as a first rounder, but i believe also in the modern era. maturity can be a huge question mark with him.

taking a TE in the first round is a joke though....with the holes we have, TE isnt a high priority imo...

What did he do in college? What did he do last year? NOTHING! This has nothing to do with the Jets failure with 1st round TE's. This guy is a bum.

As you say, Baker is a decent TE.

OK. The right side of our OL is NOT decent. We need a RG and a RT for the future. Barrett seems out of the picture and Miller has NOT been decent. We need CB help now. Ellis and Thomas are NOT a decent pass rush. They need help from the OLB spot, period.

A seriously overrated TE is not going to help the Jets win a single more game next year.

This whole mock is stupid and we pass on J. Moss we miss in the ideal of what we drafted J.Abraham for. "remember his rokie season, so much promise until Herman the Monster came in".
