Roy Williams trade was a first, third and sixth for Roy and a 7th. A first and a third for Boldin seems about right.

The Roy Williams trade was a terrible trade, even if they knew that they were going to dump TO.

For Ratliff the addition of a Boldin would be like handing the keys of a Mustang Cobra to a senior in high school. There would be no excuse for failure from Kellen. I think there is an 75% chance of both of these QB's playing under center this season. This offense would be considered above and beyond what the Ravens had even with this QB issue. Chemistry would be the other issue. But like I said before. For some reason i'm not too worried about the offense. This is a little similar to what Buffalo has been going thru at the QB spot. Two decent QB's that have a shot. I just hope that a starter emerges and stays there.

Agree it wasn't a good trade. But Boldin is much better than RW and we would be giving up less than the RW trade.

He is under contract for two more years. They don't have a gun to their head to get rid of him.

Are you also telling me that you would rather draft a WR at 17, which very possibly could happen, instead of Boldin?

Personally I'd take Tyson Jackson or Brandon Pettigrew, along with a 3rd round WR / HB / Olinemen over Anquan Boldin.

Personally, if the Jets draft Tyson Jackson the apocalypse will begin...

Any wideout drafted in the third round of this year's draft won't even come close to being as productive as Anquan Boldin.

Personally, I'd take a drive out to Canada and kill MBGreen if we take either of those guys.

First we were not talking about if they got a bargin for Moss or Welker or not & if you read my post I said I would not give up a first & a third for Boldin.

Second thanks for letting me know Mayo was a draft pick I did not know that. They made a trade of picks to get him. TRADE!

Third I just named half of the starting team so what the hell are you talking about.

Fourth all of there core players were draft picks ARE YOU HIGH! Moss, Welker, Gaffney, Vrabel, Thomas, Mayo, Harrison all not draft picks.

Fifth they have 12 picks & what are they going to do with those picks they are not drafting 12 guys. They are going to make trades with those picks to get the guys they want, write this down they will not draft more than 8 guys. So to recap what are they going to do with those picks trade at least a third of them thats what.

Boldin for the Jets first rounder this year and third rounder next year is absolutely fair.

i would only give a 2nd and a pick conditional pick next year. i don't want to get screwed like the cowboys did with the roy williams trade. this guy is gonna want big $$$ and he is already 28 maybe 4 years ago i make this trade but no thanks.. get edwards instead or figure it out in the draft.

We need a receiver, but I'm apprehensive to give up picks. There may be no way around it.

Personally, I believe Boldin(28) can stay here and stabilize #1 WR spot for the next 5 yrs. Cotchery(26) can take care of the other spot for about the next 6 yrs. We would'nt have to worry about WRs for the next half a decade. And if Stuckey or Clowney can turn things around, we'd be set for a long time. Our raw QB will need couple of good targets to throw to.

I wouldn't complain if we do get him though and go D in 1st. We are not terrible at WR. Cotch n Keller would be good in passing. Clowney and Stuckey should progress.

Just dont give him a 6 yr $70mil contract.

1)Pettigrew and T.Jackson aren't high on my list for the 17th pick either (especially Jackson...I'm really hoping that moron McDaniels reaches for him with the 12th pick).

    2) A 1st and 3rd is a steep price for a wideout....we need the picks to shore up the depth on our roster...bottom line. I know some of you are throwing out the Roy Williams trade as a comparison...but that trade was fucking terrible....the Cowboys got raped mercilessily in that one.

    3) Nobody is going to let you over the border, rmagedon6....if you don't put a pair of pants on first.

Anybody who would rather draft a WR with the 17th pick instead of getting Boldin is a gambler. Boldin is a proven WR that plays at a high level. I would be very happy if we could get him with our first and a conditional pick in 2010. I'm not saying that Arizona would take that, but if they would, we should pull the trigger. Now if the coaching staff plans on doing something else with our first rounder (QB,trading up,etc) then we should pass

Same for the Raiders then. That trade was mentioned cuz ppl keep talking about the 4th for Mandy Ross n say no to any trade involving anything over a 4th.

    1) I know.

    2) I didn't bring up the Roy Williams trade because it was a retarded trade. We are going to draft a WR regardless somewhere between the 1st and the 3rd. This means we're really giving up a 3rd rounder for Boldin. BOLDIN. Impact player > Depth player unless Ron Brace slips to 3rd, which I doubt. I see Brace as a huge plus for depth because this defense will go as far as Jenkins goes. That is of course, my opinion.

    3) Don't panic...I'm only hispanic, therefore I have yet to meet a border that will contain me. Pants or no pants.

If we draft Pettigrew or Jackson, it's over for you. Yes. I'm holding you responsible for those picks.
