so you want me to speculate about what positions they are gonna draft and how well those players will play in their rookie season? oh wait the pats are a lock to get julius peppers so they are gonna win the super bowl next year almost forgot.

we can talk about the changes to every roster when they happen. as of right now the pats are royally fucked on offense with no welker and their defense is nothing to write home about. come back in august and we can talk about the teams at that time.

Although the Pats do have high first round picks (once again), we still have 5 decent picks as well. Also do not forget RR's penchant for picking up very good UFAs.
I have to disagree slightly with the quoted OP, we did nearly make the SB, but arguably we shouldn't have been there, we all know why. But I also accept that you can only beat whats put in front of you, despite that, we had 1 possibly 2 'gimmes' to make post-season.
What was impressive though was our performance during the post season, but what was glaring was the lack of play makers on O. No Washington, no Greene and no decent slot WR for a start.
The Pats won the div again, we didn't, and until we do, IMO we have not drawn level, yet.

People are making to big of a deal about not being able to sign that big free agent. IMO we have too many great franchise players on this team that we need to sign to longer contracts this offseason. Mangold Brick Revis Leon Braylon all need to be signed as well as others. The Pats build through the draft and if they draft well they will repeat as AFCE champs.

Randy Moss came out and said he does NOT expect to play for New England in 2011.

Looks like the problem of covering Welker/Moss shall trouble us never again.

I hope we can beat them out but until we do I still think of them as favorites to win AFCE.
