Great to have him back.. the coaching staff obviously loves the guy.. both on defense and special teams. But we still have a hole at safety.. how much could Pool really be asking for that they can't afford him? That doesn't bode well for us.. unless they have very high hopes for Lowery to step up and be the coverage safety to rotate with Smith?
I wouldn't mind us kicking the wheels on another former safety of ours Abram Elam. I remember him making a few big plays for us in his limited role. I have no idea how he did for Cleveland but he did help us get Sanchez 8)
