Maybe he is being GIVEN the credit, but I don't see how that means he is HOGGING it. A little quick to throw the accusations around, don't you think?

I think the media totally misread him. He didnt treat them like dirt like Bobby Knight and others have. He just limited access and limited sound bites. He doesnt snap at the media and answers questions. He just doesnt write the stories for them.

I think that was the same week the Giants actually won a game. I was watching Fatcessa's show late after Sunday Night Football, and he was talking about "It's back to earth for the Jets, and the Giants prove they are for real" or something to that effect.

Guess what Mike, your team sucks balls! The Giants are a total failure, top to bottom. While the Jets juggernaut continues to roll, with Mangini leading the charge, your team is practically HOPING for the help to get into the playoffs 3 games under .500.

I am SO rooting for the Redskins to pulverize the Giants. I want to see Bob Whitfield headbutt some more people for 30 yards and lose the game, then claim it "was necessary and I'd do it again."

No wait! On second thought, we get their 2nd Round pick. GO GIANTS!

You know, before this year, I was a semi-Giants fan. Then I started listening to all the board talk about how Giants fans are total jerkoffs, and I started slipping.

I still like the Giants, and I still haven't met any Giants fans who were dicks towards Jets fans, but the media sure is. No matter what we do right, the stories are always about the Giants.

Screw 'em. If they get bounced from the playoffs, I will be just fine with that. Then Mikey F can piss and moan all off-season about how his G-Men were robbed or some shit.

Francesa's not really a Giants fan at all, only when Parcells was there was he a real big Giants fan because they're close friends. Infact, a lot of guys on the Giants (Barber, Strahan, Shockey) don't like him because he was always getting on them and the team.

He's really more of a Jets fan this year. He likes Mangini and Tannenbaum a lot (him and Tannenbaum seem to be forming a close friendship), and he picked the Jets as an over in over/unders this year, saying they would surprise some people. It's really Chris Russo who has taken the more pessimistic point of view, while Francesa has tried to paint the brighter picture for this season. Although they both agree that Mangini is a great coach.

I give Tannenbaum just as much credit as Mangini.

Then maybe it's just what I see. I caught his show a number of times this year after SNF, and every time, he tried to downplay wins, or threw it in Jets fans faces that we lost.

I've said before that I don't listen to M&M. I don't plan on it either. When I've listened in the past, they've shown to be pretty intelligent about their topics, but they let personal feelings cloud their arguments all the time. The only guy that ever did that, that I actually liked, was Rizzuto. The only reason I liked it was because he was so blatant, and uncaring about how anyone felt about it.
