No big deal. We all said he could have a future in the NFL if he bulked up and that's what he was trying to do. Probably as a rookie he thought he wouldn't get tested if he was on IR. It happens and I don't think this effects his career in the slightest.
It'll make it easier to get rid of him. He's not an NFL QB. He was hardly a college QB. On top of that, his Dad played with teh 80's Celtics, and I was an 80's Lakers fan. Some animosity just cannot be overcome. Sorry Erik
it would be good to know what he tested positive for before everyone has a heart attack about it. it could be diet pills for all we know... not that ainge would need that but it still could be as simple as that.
He could of just taken a banned substance. There is a huge list of banned substances by the NFL, and it is extremely hard to keep up with everything.
Gimmie a break with this nonsene already. He was a rookie who got almost zero playing time due to a broken finger. He may bet the next Ryan Leaf or the next Dan Marino. But it is silly to make any kind of comments on the kids talent becasue no one really has any idea. Secondly, it is steroids and RELATED substances. They can get suspended for taking water pills. So who knows what he was taking. IF it was performance enhancing the only reason would be to accelerate his healing.
no reason to keep him around with the thought he could be out a year at any point. can't have that uncertainty at that position.
