The whole organization is to blame. Not that I care, love seeing Payton choke.

If you meant for it as a jab @ the Denver faithful then I guess it will read differently... The FOTM is that it's a title that shows how sour Tebow fans are.

No matter what the gist of the thread or content is, the title gives that impression and honestly, it fits the mindset of Tebow fans constantly crying about how cruel the world is to baby jesus.
But I guess that's a moot point if it was done purposely...

    ftr,
Tebow isn't even close to a whiff of the QB Peyton is.

That said, everyone with a inkle of watching NFL knows Peyton is the grand chokester but the BRONCOS won their division and If it weren't for Peyton that game would've been a RAVENS blowout....

Can't really disagree with anything you wrote... and we mutually agree on the entire premise...Peyton chokes...a lot.

I don't know what the coaches were thinking. More than once they went with the "safe" running play, rather than letting Peyton Manning do what he does best. Do the coaches not understand who this guy is??? 30 seconds in the game + 2 time outs, you HAVE to try. There's no guarantee your offense ever comes back on the field at that point.

Here's exactly why the Broncos lost. The playcalling was abysmal. Terrible last 2 drives in regulation. All they needed was a 1st down and they don't even let Peyton throw it.

Denver Broncos at 3:12 BAL DEN
    1st and 10 at DEN 31 R.Hillman up the middle to DEN 36 for 5 yards (R.Lewis).
    2nd and 5 at DEN 36 R.Hillman up the middle to DEN 44 for 8 yards (C.Graham).
Timeout #2 by BLT at 02:23.
    1st and 10 at DEN 44 R.Hillman up the middle to DEN 46 for 2 yards (R.Lewis).
Timeout #3 by BLT at 02:19.
    2nd and 8 at DEN 46 R.Hillman left guard to DEN 47 for 1 yard (M.Kemoeatu; R.Lewis).
3rd and 7 at DEN 47 R.Hillman right guard to DEN 47 for no gain (M.Kemoeatu).
Timeout #1 by DEN at 01:15.
    4th and 7 at DEN 47 B.Colquitt punts 30 yards to BLT 23, Center-A.Brewer, fair catch by J.Jones.
    DRIVE TOTALS: BAL 28, DEN 35, 5 plays, 14 yards, 1:57 elapsed

Denver Broncos at 0:31 BAL DEN
    1st and 10 at DEN 20 P.Manning kneels to DEN 19 for -1 yards.
    End of Period

Love how Tebow fans have come out of the woodwork.

This was their Super Bowl. Piling on the Broncos as if they would have cruised into the AFC Championship game with Tebow at the helm.

Meanwhile, Tebow was just seen in the unemployment line. He was then spotted buying a bus ticket to Canada. Yeah, the Broncos really miss THAT guy.... NOT.

That was maybe 20% of the problem.

Champ Bailey was getting used and abused out there. Almost never happens, but he got burned on more than a couple of long plays. Would have been more if not for a couple of overthrows.

    Manning's turnovers.

Matt Prater kicking the grass further than the ball when he missed the ball with the kick at half time by at least a foot. What the fuck was that!?!?

Rahim "the dream" who was supposed to play deeper than the deepest man tried to run underneath and intercept a rainbow pass that sailed right over his head, leaving nobody to stop the reciever he was supposed to be in front of.

Chris Kuper getting called for THREE holding penalties that negated drive extending plays.

That FAIL came from so many directions, I'm actually shocked the game went to double overtime. Probably shouldn't have if not for Trindon Halliday returning 2 kicks for TDs in that game.

Idk. I can't remember when Manning has ever had a top defense (like Brady who had it for all 3 SBs). Also, Peyton has lost 4 playoff games in the 4th quarter where he left the field with a lead only to see his defense blow it for him.

did you know that Manning's Ds have allowed LESS pts in regulation than the supposed "great" Brady D's?

yep, he left w/ a lead Sunday after FAILING to run out the clock then had TWO chances in OT to win it w/ a FG and FAILED. His 3 TOs set up 17 of the Bal 38 pts and he was handed 14 pts but he wasn't the problem.

against us in 2010 he led his high powered O to just 16 pts at HOME, he did leave w/ a lead again failing to run out the clock.

2008 at SD needed ONE firstb down to win, what does he do? takes a sack on 3rd and 2 at his 1 yd line giving SD a short field to tie it.

what is the other game he left late w/ a lead?

We've gone over this play a million times. There WAS NOTHING MANNING COULD HAVE DONE WITH THAT PLAY. He can't throw the ball away because it'll stop the clock. He can't force a pass because the coverage was tight and risk getting a pick-6. His only option was to take the sack from a free blitzing OLB when the TE completely missed the block.

he still took a sack, he still failed to get the ONE first down he needed to end that game and he gave SD great FP. he gets credit for everything that works, when does he get blame for all his failures?

Sure he gets blame for failures that he is the reason for. But you can't just put the blame on him for this play. There was literally nothing he could.

he could have got the first down, he could have led them to more than 7 pts in the 2nd half(the TD was a completely blown coverage where Wayne was WIDE open down the field), he failed AGAIN.

Okay, but stop using that play because he didn't do anything wrong on that play.

Guess who only led his tam to 7 points in the second half, Tom Brady in the most recent SB. :eek:hmy:

    With a 17-9 lead

-Giants score 3 17-12, Brady goes 3 and out.
-Giants score 3, 17-15, Brady throws INT.
-Giants score 0 points, Brady up 2 gets ball with 9 minutes left. Brady at 2nd and 11 at the NYG 44 could pick up 0 yards.
    -Giants score a TD.
-Ball comes back to him with 57 seconds left, 0 points.

He also only scored 7 in the previous second half of the SB against NYG.

He also only scored 7 in the second half of 21-12 SD win before the SB above.

He only scored 6 in the second half of his first SB win.

that play symbolizes the day for him. Remember, he always gets credit for changing plays at the line when they work so he should get bashed when they don't. The bottom line is he didn't get the job done like most of his postseason career.

Brady failed last year but he didn't throw away the SB like Peyton vs. NO.

the last 57 secs count as much as the last 30 for den the other day.

The breakdown and sack on that play wasn't his fault. I'm not defending anything, I am just posting a fact.

Go ahead pile on Manning... you just look like idiots doing so.

It doesn't change the fact that his defense was torched all day and that he was facing a tough Baltimore Defense. It's easy to say he lost the game but the story would be much different if Denver doesn't have that truly stupid gaffe in the secondary with under a minute left in that game... then they win and Manning's not a choker hmm.

Baltimore's D gives everyone trouble on a normal day, Baltimore's D inspired by a retiring Ray Lewis is really tough. Can't we just give credit where it's due - to the Baltimore Ravens for playing their asses off on both sides of the ball instead of making out like Manning choked? That's child's play.

    Also
-I think the game would've been different had the Denver staff let Manning try to get them in field goal range after the TD. I think we have a game similar to the Atlanta one where they give up the lead late, but get in field goal range to win it.

-I was against picking up Manning in this offseason because I thought he was through, but it's pretty obvious he's not. He would've gotten our Jets to the playoffs this year. (if he didn't turn us down - AGAIN)

always w/ excuses, he was at home and handed 14 points. The Bal D is playing better lately but was far from great all season. A month ago they faced Baltimore in the reg season and Peyton and Denver torched them but that was the reg season. In postseason Peyton was big game peyton again.

Baltimore always has tough Ds but if they are so difficult to bat why haven't they been back to a SB since 2000?

I think it speaks volumes of the trust they had in peyton to kneel at the end of the game.

and Peyton still had TWO chances in OT to get into FG range, he failed and set up the game losing kick.

we would have been better w/ Peyton but we wouldn't have made the playoffs, not w/ him throwing to kerley, Schilens, Gates, Cumberland & reuland. No QB would succeed w/ those weapons especially one so used to playing w/ elite level talent like Peyton.

all you do is excuse Sanchez's losses by pointing out how the defense gave up scores at the end of the several games, and here Manning gave them a 7 point lead with 30 seconds left and the entire field to go, and you blame Manning for losing the game and not the defense.

you are such a hypocrite. at least be consistent in your arguments, even if they are poor.
