yes he is mobile enough for that play but IMO sanchez should be even more mobile and allow the jets to roll him out more often. watched a. rodgers run several times against the giants and i found myself saying why cant MS run like that.
I don't like having Zero Backs and 5 wide sts on the Goal line. The only running option is the QB sneak.... That said, I go by the "Don't question Success" and aorn we are having a good year in the Red Zone Although- Shotty's mentality of : Let's get as close to the goal line as we can is a flaw. Throwing passes into the endzone from 30-40 yds out has to be somehow implemented. Yesterday was the 1st time i can remember noticing us actually going for 1st downs on 1st & 2nd down...and that IMO is a big reason for success!
i actually dont have problems with the call sometimes. schotty cant block, make the reads, and the throws himself. we lack alot of execution, more than most Schotty detractors care to admit. but for all the good calls that get blown on execution he does love to throw some bullshit in every game. (thats 90 percent of coordinators in the league. something jets fans dont like to remember) that being said i almost want to throw my comments out the window looking back at last yrs AFCCG
I feel like the reason he hasn't been going for those 30-40 yard passes to the endzone very much this year is because of how successful we have been in the redzone. Probably feels like if we can just get into the red zone we will probably be able to score a TD. In the past when we were so poor in the red zone he probably felt that we needed those homerun plays more.
