Do you think the Jets NEED to win the SB this year to be able to own Pats fans with trash talk next yr? If we lose to Indy, I don't think we can brag to NE we are better than them, because we didn't win it all. Really the Super Bowl is all that matters. NE fans obviously will just say you guys choked and didn't win and we won the AFCE and went 10-6 and you guys backed into the playoffs. It will be odd to brag to those cocky Pats fans, we went farther in the playoffs then you did.....I think you gotta win the whole thing to be able to own the Pats fans in conversations and message board discussions like these. Gotta do it this Sunday!
i get much more satisfaction from watching miami suffer. the pats have won 3 sbs and made the playoffs this year. not as much satisfaction, plus i hate miami a lot more.
i grew up watching dan freaking marino embarass the jets. no team in any sport do i hate as much as the miami dolphins.
What makes this an even bigger shit sandwich for Pats fans is that it seems very possible that this is the beginning of a trend for the next few years. The Jets are loaded at all the key positions, and almost every important piece is under contract for the next few years (and young). Most games they lost this year were because of shitty qb play which seems pretty likely to improve soon enough. Meanwhile the Pats roster is full of holes. They might reload and some players may improve next year but the Jets scare me. I was the one with my nose in the air during week 2 thinking the Jets were retarded for getting so hyped up, but goddam Rex Ryan has turned this into a mean fucking team. If the NFC team ( preferably the Saints) doesn't win the super bowl that would only cap off a thoroughly shitty year of sports for me.
I'm glad I found this forum and this thread in particular because I HATE the pats and their poor sport fans who know nothing about football. I live in new england and most of my friends and co workers are all pats fans. And when the patriots lost in the playoffs it was a very quiet day around here,lol....noone answers phones or text messages but whenever my team loses I get so much shit from these bastards...I hope the pats are on the decline for years to come and that their fans hop back off the band wagon because they are not true fans
