He's claiming Turner was activated because of the potential release, yet is ignoring Wayne Hunter's injury?

    Edwards to be released?

The deadline was for him to play by week 5. He can still play week 7 if he signs. Here's my thinking: We give them Braylon Edwards and a 2nd rounder for VJ.

Very unlikely, but not as crazy as BE being released. I can't see the jets just dumping him now. It makes no sense unless they know something we don't.

No way...Didnt Vincent Jackson also get a DUI? He's also asking for a contract with a trade. Not happening

Does this mean we have Cotchery/Clowney/Smith/Turner as our WR?

damn that will be ugly, I think Brad Smith is injured too

    Edwards to be released?

I know, just throwing ideas out there. This move is retarded. Suspend him for the game or something. I can't wrap my head around releasing him for a division game BEFORE Holmes comes back. The only explanation I can come up with is cap space or trade material. Maybe SD wants him knowing VJ won't play there.

The only way I see this happening is because Braylon is looking at jail time in Cleveland over a probation violation. Awfully quick to find that out though.

If this is true there is absolutely no way we're going to the super bowl this year...

If I were the Jets I'd release a false report about releasing him and then don't just to scare the shit out of all the players.

    heehee

To all those out there who said "Hard Knocks" would have a negative effect on our team and I said it wouldn't - I sincerely apologize.

If it weren't for incidents like "cheeseburgers" and Rex's mouth I don't think this would be happening.

This has nothing to do with Hard Knocks...This incident was Braylon being Braylon.

Naw, you didn't watch today's press conference. Reporters were buzzing with the questions from Hard Knocks, Rex even mentioned the cheeseburger incident etc... Sure the media is twisting it around, but still the Jets feel the pressure from it.

Rex didn't come out and say it but I swear the voice he had when he was talking about stuff in Hard Knocks today I could tell from his tone he kinda regretted it. He also said some stuff to the effect of well Hard Knocks only shows about 5 hours of footage of our team and not the hundreds of hours we put in.

I would be extremely pissed if this is true. However, NO ONE should use Bob as a source. The Yahoo guy, sure, but Bob has been wrong on EVERYTHING since the Revis thing

I'm not buying it until I hear it from a reputable news source. It makes so little sense to release him.

I hope you're right, when it is a substance abuse issue we need to give a player at least one chance to clean up.
