A very nice read about Ed Reed on Sunday's New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/24/s...-mesmerizing-an-eager-acolyte.html?ref=sports
If anybody knows Flaccos tendencies it will be Reed. Should be a big defensive day. Hopefully the Offense shows up.
He wasn't even burned on that play. It was a beautiful and perfect pass with air under it from the wind that even Revis would have had trouble defending.
He had that pass breakup in the end zone in the 1st half. Ed Reed isn't the reason we lost. Milliner sucks. The offense scored 3 points.
Need to vent a little bit about Reed. This guy is absolute junk. There's a reason he was cut by the Texans, he is simply over the hill. He has always relied on his elite speed to make breaks on the ball and he doesn't have it anymore. Has not helped the deep ball play at all. The worst part to me is that he is taking valuable reps away from Antonio Allen who has been getting better and better with his peak coming in the Pats game against Gronkowski. I really hope Rex benches this scrub but I doubt it will happen
Reed cost us the TD, Miliner had good coverage only for Reed to break across Miliners route Sent from my wey aye phone using Tapatalk - now Free
I was happy when the signing happened. But not happy with how he's being used. As a starter he's playing more like Lou Reed.
Miami can't protect the QB. Our DL should be knocking the snot out of Miami's OL all day. There should be plenty of rushed throws from Tannehill, and plenty of opportunities for Reed to come up with his first INT as a Jet.
Just how bad are things for Ed Reed these days? He hasn’t won a game since last season’s Super Bowl, and he looked like a shell of his All-Pro self in Sunday’s loss in Baltimore. He is so desperate for a win, he is calling for someone to come out of retirement. That someone? Fireman Ed. “That guy with the hard hat on. Is he still here? What’s his name, Fireman Ed?” Reed said. “I need him getting the whole stadium crunked this week.” But there’s a problem. Fireman Ed, whose real name is Ed Anzalone, walked out on the Jets during halftime of last Thanksgiving’s Butt Fumble fiasco against the Patriots. There would be no more “J-E-T-S” chants. Reed wants him back. “He retired? I can’t believe it,” Reed said. “We need to bring him out of retirement.” Anzalone — who could not be reached for comment Wednesday — left the Thanksgiving blowout at halftime ,never to return as Fireman Ed, citing a lack of respect from fans, particularly over his decision to wear a Mark Sanchez jersey to games
