I actually liked the Keller pick at the time. Of course it means nothing to say it now. I didn't like trading up but I liked the player.
I'm still not sold on this pick. Big deal he had 2tds today, but Buff sucks. Baker would have had 3tds.
I can't believe how much his blocking has improved. It's still early but he's a lock for the Pro Bowl if he continues to play this way.
Less than 50 yd receiving and no TDs... hardly worth mentioning, isn't it? Even Art Monk did more for us. Bubba was basically getting one last pay check...
Man this is a good thread to bring back. I don't post at all pretty much, but I know that Br4dw4y5ux used too be sooooooooooo sour on MT Trading up for guys in the draft. Keller really looks like he can be Gates/Gonzalez great.
Are you having a laugh? You may well be and in that case cudos but if not seriously man, he also had massive games against both New England and Miami and has 5 TD's in 4 games!!! Not that it ever works out this way really but Keller is on pace this season for: 76 receptions, 1,016 yards, 20 TDs. The touchdown total there is a particularly ridiculous idea but anything close to these numbers with 10-12 TDs he'll make the pro bowl. His blocking is clearly better also (I never thought he was an awful blocker tbh). I genuinely can't get how someone would be down on us drafting him at this stage...completely beyond me.
I'll admit, I was pissed at the time...... probably more so due to the Gholston pick who I really didn't want. Then they followed it up with a TE....... I wasn't happy. I was wrong with 1 of those picks :breakdance:
I watched the combine and Keller was not just the best TE, he was the best receiver there, period. I loved the pick. It's nice to see him coming into form. I think he's second only to Gates at this point.
