Far from meaningless. Remember, the jets were 2-5 when they then beat the chargers in 02 and went on a run to win the AFCE. Who knows, maybe winning that game would've had the same effect on the team and given them the motivation needed to make a run.

At home against the Bills in 2001. Trailed the whole game, Vinny throws one over the middle with no timeouts left and pretty much ends the game. Luckily they rebounded the next week against Oakland and got into the playoffs. I forget what happened from there. :drunk:

Also, the Lions game in 2000. Ugh...

You've started 3 horrible threads man. What is up?

I can't take you seriously after you said Foley got a raw deal and was the future at QB for the Jets...

    Sorry bro.

Were they down to their 4th string QB in 2002?

    I didn't think so.

Two games 1st. Jacksonville game 99 Rick Mira was the quarter back and they wouldn?t let him throw, there were guy's open every where and they just kept making him hand the ball off I think we scored a field goal. 2nd Oakland 99 we had like a 21-3 lead and the raiders came back we blew it in the final seconds of the game. There are more but these two were parts of a tuff season.

    Goes without saying.

On the subject of Baltimore, 2000 finale was no picnic either. Blew a 14-0 lead and a playoff spot on Christmas Eve. Merry Fucking Christmas, Jet fans!

First half of the 99 season was a nightmare -- and just think if we had won that Okaland game hindsight being 20/20 and all we may have made the playoffs that year even after a disaterous start -- I cant really say if it was dumb coaching or not but Marinos fake spike game always sticks with me -- this game marked the beggining of the end for Pete Carroll the team never responded well the rest of that season and he got the majority of the blame

    1. Baltimore game of 04 was worst-coached game ever
    2. most painful loss to me was 91 Monday night loss to
    bears
    3. big game jets have blown 86 playoffs-- Browns
    4. sweetest jets victory (save Super Bowl III)--anytime we beat the dolphins

Thats my vote b/c it was a big (ie. playoff) game and the game was won when we lost it.
(There are many many others -- starting with Fake Spike and "The Blair Thomas Fumble") You know your in trouble -- when your teams biggest moments are almost all bad -- and all have readily identifiable names.

Except Balt was clearly the better team that year.

The 28 Kotite losses were all pretty dumb. Especially the 47-10 Raiders one.

The 91 Bears MNF game about killed me and was the kiss of death for Blair Thomas' career.
