Lol. As I get to this thread, Coleman gets juked out of his face. It happens. He's still playing well.
My how things have changed. http://www.newyorkjets.com/index.html Lol, still not getting the love. Yeah yeah yeah, the results are right, but still....
this thread is so confusing to me. drew coleman used to be such an utter disgrace of a player taking an NFL field. Now he is doing shit. After the Miami game people were blowing him, and I didn't understand. He caught a pass broken up by Brodney Pool.. Good job, if I was standing there I could of picked it up also. Then the Vikings game...then the Broncos game.. Drew Coleman used to make me mentally ill when I saw him enter the field..and now I still somewhat feel the same way. It's a very odd subject with me. He still makes me sick to my stomach, but he is making plays. Somebody help me.
In that Miami game there was also a play on the last drive where he made a tackle on a Miami RB, I forget whether it was R. Williams or R. Brown, after they caught a pass out the backfield and he somehow kept the player inbounds, which was important as it kept the clock running. Also, in the NE game the week before there was a play towards the end of the game where he pretty much blew up a patented Patriots pussy ass slip screen to Welker very well. Give him some credit. He's improved to a point where we can call him a serviceable player who deserves some PT on the field. Could we say that about him last year? No.
I give him all the credit in the world. he is MAKING serious game changing plays. It just really fucks with me. I have no idea how this guy got it, but i love it. I still feel sick to my stomach when I see him though.
He may be the most improved player from one season to the next I've seen with the Jets in a long time.
It's taken him 5 years but I think he finally has it. Let's not forget Drew Coleman was the 189th overall pick the year he was drafted. I'd be curious to see how many guys drafted in that round even made an NFL roster let alone still in the league. I looked up an old TCU media guide I had a if we ever need somebody to play QB he was the Southwest Junior College Player of the Year as a QB before he was swiitched to CB at TCU. Could you imagine the Jets line up with the TCU formation. Drew Coleman is the QB with LT behind him.... ok not really but it'd be funny.
Most of these guys were the best athletes on their team in High School, so a LOT of them played QB just to have the ball in their hands. I'm sure you know this, I'm just saying.
