Championjets69..... If Marino was drafted by the Jets there is no way of knowing if he would have been as good as he was.. he might not even have had as long a career.. No one knows any of this.. What we do know, is that you seem to dwell on negatives and hindsight...
Yes nobody knows what woulda, coulda, shoulda if Danny was a NYJ however most NYJ fans still despise the NYJ management for picking KOB over Danny in that draft & then to coverup there error giving the excuse they did it cause they KNEW that Oakland was going to take KOB if we did not.
They were real simple I am not a draftnik & I said that history has a way of repeating itself. End of story
But if KOB went to the Raiders he may have won a few SB's. This is your biggest contradiction yet Champ, just give this one up. Marino is the best QB to win nothing, we can all agree on that, but you are the biggest supporter of SB or bust, nothing else matters but the Trophy.

I didn't attack you Champ, I said you were contradicting yourself. You preach that the only thing that matters is the Jets winning the superbowl. Then in this thread you preach that we have bad drafts. Then you preach that we should have taken Marino, who never won a superbowl. That is a contradiction. I don't need to know the history of the KOB draft, I know that what you are saying is a contradiction to what you preach here on TGG.com.

I was very much alive back then, and I am very much aware of the pain and angst that was felt when KOB was selected... however, It does not change anything for your argument about if we had picked Marino instead... he didn't win a SB... nor did KOB... Marino is a HOF QB and we will never know what if
All I said is that the NYJs took KOB cause the they KNEW the Raiders wanted him. Think about that for a second & it comes out well we really did not want KOB but took him to f---k-d the Raiders. All I was pointing out which you & others did not grasp us how bad the management then & was even up to the end of last year & since history repeats itself well you know the rest. I never advocated Danny I just pointed out we took KOB over Danny
