I don't understand why anyone thinks the Cullpeper signing is a good thing. The guy is a very good QB who's an instand upgrade over Gus or Sage. How is this good? The Dolphins only gave up a second rounder and are going to be a better team with Culpepper than they would've been with Gus or Sage. I don't think it makes them a SB contender but it does make them better.

The guy can't hold onto the ball and he plays 10 games a year inside. He is a turnover machine.

Brown had fumble problems, granted he was a rookie, Daunte fumbles if you sneeze on him.

    Its good for us.

This guy is a great fantasy QB, when the pressure is on he folds. he played w/ some of the best offesnive talent the league has ever seen and hes till choked- a 13 rating against a medicore Giants D in '00, leading the Vikes to 17 pts at Ari w/ the playoffs on the line when Ari was giving up 33/gm the 2nd half of the year, leading them to 10 pts in the competitive portion of the redskin game in '04 w/ the playoffs on the line(luckily for them they let 2 8-8 teams in that year). He is a choker and in 5 full years as a starter he has 2 PO appearances despite playing in a brutally weak div and conf. This is GREAT news for all non-Miami fans. Look beyond the #s, #s don't make a QB great(you should know that more than any of us).

No one who turns the ball over that much is good. He is vastly overpaid and sucked without Moss.

Moss even made Collins look decent for a few weeks there.

They also need a pass rusher, didn't they lose Howard? Wonder why I haven't heard them come up in the Abraham talks. Something like Abe and the 4 for the second and there third or four.......or something like that.

Moss sucked without Culpepper as well and Miami has better WRs than Minny, and I would have rather face the joke at QB with miami over the years then Culpepper

Culpepper has played in 81 games, thrown 86 INT's and fumbled 81 times.

    He is a turnover machine.

Culpepper is a good good QB, but i no longer fear him without Randy Moss on the same roster as him.

Also dont forget how bad Pepper was before he got hurt last year... he was throwing picks at a very high rate and might have set the record for int's had he not gotten hurt.

All that being said its still a great move for the phins.

I would love to see TO tear apart the dolphins in the upcoming season. They already have chambers and booker and mcmichael though. Culpepper will have a solid receiving corpe to work with. Unfortuantely, I feel like saban can definitely bring culpepper back to pro bowl form if he can become completely healthy again. It's not going to be the Tice jump-ball passing game anymore.

Chambers, McMichael, and Booker are still a pretty good group though.
