You are right, i's not close but Chad is better WHEN HEALTHY. Chad has not been able to stay healthy but when Chad plays the Jets win more often than not, when Daunte played Minny lost more often. I don't use maningless fantasy #s I use the impact they have on the team to judge QBs.
I don't call everyone bitter or bias, just the ones that say things like the fins will step backwards or Daunte will return to his 05 form. Just simply stupid bias statments. If Miami were to take a step backwards that would mean their draft was a waste and the same with FA, neither are true. Plus add the coaching upgrades. We are moving forward not backwards so for Jet fans to say dumb things is simply bias and bitter becasue they refuse to give credit where credit is due. You can't accept the fact that most Jet fans hate the fins more then any team in the division. It's not hard to see the bias and bitterness in many Jet fans posts. You just don't want to.

Are you frikin kidding me with your opinion??? Ummmm, what good are you if you can't play??? That's like me saying I could play as good as Montana ......"If" I was 6-4 225lbs. and blessed by god with the ability to pick D's in the NFL apart!!! Yeah, I'm better then Montana!!! In a warped imaginary kinda way.
There you go w/ your meaningless fantasy #s. How about the fact that Chad has played in a MUCH tougher division and in the 2 years he has played at least 3/4 of games he's ;ed the Jets to the div rd of the playoffs while daunte has started 5 full yars and made it twice one of which was at 8-8. Also, Since Daunte took over as a starter in 2000 Minny is 4 games UNDER .500 WITH Daunte and 4 Games OVER .500 WITHOUT him while since Chad took over in '02 the Jets are 5 Games OVER .500 WITH Chad and 9 Games UNDER .500 WITHOUT Him. Exlain this w/ meaningless fantasy #s.
Junc discounts all of Culpeppers numbers as mere fantasy stats and meaningless. Don't try and argue facts or the fact that he has the same playoff record as Chad. Junc will just point out that the NFC is really the equivalent of pee wee football and all stats from the NFC should have an asterisk attached.
Why bother using fantasy numbers??....I mean, they don't mean anything when we're talking about a QB's talent / skills / or overall impact they have on offense.... That's like saying, "S. Alexander is a stud FF RB, but I don't use his FF numbers to judge the overall imapact they have on the team itself.".... I mean those FF numbers only helped lead them to the Super Bowl?!?!?!..... Bottom Line : Numbers are numbers. You call them "fantasy numbers", but they're really just numbers when it comes to looking at one's ability to play the QB position....
You are saying the NFC has been as tough as the AFC? The 2 teams the jets lost 2(Oak and Pitt) are light years ahead of the Giant team daunte posted a 13 rating against and both are better thant he Philly team which he couldn't do anything against in '04. All we should count is meaningless fantasy #s against horrible teams, why worry about the fact Daunte chokes in big games and his #s go way down just worry about all th time he mauls Detroit.
But that's all you hav when arguing for Daunte, he doesn't make his team better(as the #s show that minny is 4 game over w/o him and 4 games below w/ him) he just puts up good to great fantasy #s. His "great" year of '04 he led Minny to EIGHT wins!
It also could be that since Culpepper took over MN D has ranked 29th, 28th, 26th, 25th, and 28th through 04. He took MN to the playoffs and did exactly what Chad did split two games the difference is he did it with the 28th ranked D in the NFL and Chad did it with the 7th ranked D in the NFL.
So basically what you're saying here is that Culpepper wont make Miami's offense any better. That's what it sounds like to me. So, is that what you're trying to say???.... You're getting deeper and deeper here Junc. You're fighting a losing battle here, and it shows because there's nobody here that agrees with you, or your delusional opinions of Culpepper.... And having one of the NFL's worst defenses wouldn't have anything to do with that now would it???....It's all Culpepper's fault. Riiiiiiiight.........
Blame the D, over the course of the years the D ahs been to blame LESS than Daunte and his O. daunte has put the D in bad spots by either not coing early or turning it over. The D hasn't been great but it's been good enough to get to the playoffs more than twice in that pathetic division. In '02 Chad did it w/ the 24th ranked D and w/ Curtis having the worst full season of his career so the other stuff is just excuses. Carson Palmer had the 28th ranked D last year yet he helped Cincy beat out the eventual SB Champs.
Statistically? Sure, in the W column? I'm not so sure. My only worry is saban can correct some of his flaws much the way Parcells did w/ Vinny but that remains to be seen and will be difficult for Saban to do. I don't agree who agrees w/ me- I ahve been syaing it for years and he has proven over the years to be a losing QB. What do you have to say to the fact that Minny is 4 games OVER .500 w/o hima nd 4 games UNDER w/ him? What does that tell you? he had the 28th ranked D in a division where GB had the 25th ranked D, Detroit 22 and Chicago 21. That's 4 teams in just about the bottom 3rd of the league in defense all in the same division(I wonder why he put up such great #s?). last year Carson palmer's Bengals had the 28th ranked D yet he won 11 games and a division title in a division that featured the eventual SB Champs and Pitt had the 4th ranked D, Cle had the 15th ranked D and Bal ahd the 5th ranked D. He played against better Ds, against better teams and STILL won 3 more games but i's all about the D, right?
I give up....You're impossible.... I'm sure we'll resume this topic later, but will you be willing to show you face once CP starts lighting it up???...That's what I'm interested in knowing....
I never run and hie, I'll give him credit if he proves me wrong and if he becomes a winner but I feel very confident that won't happen which was why i didn't want him and why i was so excited you got him.
And in 02 Chad put up 10 points against Oakland and did nothing against a Steeler team that put him in good field position with mistakes all game long. By the way I agree Carson Palmer is head and shoulders better than Chad or Culpepper. He is possibly the most talented QB I have seen since Elway early in his career.
