Learn the difference between trashing and pointing out facts!! Here let me help you, If I was trashing the Jets I would have said soemthing like, Your POS HC can't win anything, the Jets suck on both sides of the ball and their QB is a little girl. Your team is the bottom feeders of the division and the Fins will smack them around like a redheaded stepchild!!! opposed to, The Jets haven't won anything since Joe Namath. One season to spout off about, that's it. Bill was brought in to win the SB with the Jets...he failed, who cares that you got to the playoffs you still have one SB in your history that's it, that's all. In my original statement what wasn't true?? Pointing out the facts isn't trash talking. I can't believe I actually have to break this down.
And then I explained the Dolphins haven't won shit since Bob Griese and you had nothing to say on it. And I do consider that comment you made to be trash.
Thats because it's true, what should I say??.....Nuh uhhh!!!! My dad can beat up your dad!!! Thats your choice, the bottom line is I stated facts. In case you didn't notice, the statement you're talking about was in response to another statement. I didn't just jump into this thread and throw it out their to stir up trouble, thats another characteristic of trash talking.
Every other post you comment on Jets fans being biased and stupid. You certainly have been talking trash to us and egging us on. I wrote that people would take you seriously if you wrote some negative comments on the Dolphins. Is it possible that you could give us five legitimate reasons why the Dolphins won't make the playoffs in 2006? And don't get cute and write 1. the season gets cancelled 2. the Dolphins suffer injuries to all 3 QBs etc.
Last year was exactly that, last year.. It has nothing to do with this coming year.. I don't see the Dolphins being nearly talented enough to fight for a WC spot in the very tough AFC let alone fight for a division.. I need to see what happens with your Qb situation which is as much of a mess as any QB situation in the league before I can say how far they actually are. But if I was you I wouldn't be making any playoff parties for this year..
You must have me confused with someone else because I have said NOTHING about how the Phins haven't improved and won't challenge the division. And I have never tried to tear the Phins down, nor used any excuses. Please show where I said any of that. What I have said is: 1) While I think DC is an improvement over last year, I think there are considerable questions to be asked about his health and longevity. I don't think he is the long term answer at QB, and I don't know if the FO has a plan for the position. Harrington? 2) While I do think Saban is a good coach and taking the Phins in the correct direction. He is only in his second year, so I think it is a little to early to declare him a "great" coach and induct him into the HOF. The jury is still out. I have made these points before, go look. I have never said ANYTHING close to what you said I did. I think the points I made are more than valid. What I was talking about before, is your reaction to other's opinions, many of which I do not share, but I am willing to hear them out. You do not even want to listen to them, you just ignore what they say and call them biased. For the record, I think the Pats will take the division, the Phins second just missing the playoffs, followed by the Jets, then Bills.
1) Chambers doesn't return to probowl form 2) Ronnie can't be a #1 3) the secondary doesn't live up to expectaions 4) Daunte tears his knee up again 5) We lose 3 or more of our top players. You seem to only be happy that the fins won't succeed. You won't accept any other scenario. To you it's bust or nothing for the Fins. I see the fins moving forward because they didn't lose players that were keys to winning other then Ricky and we do have Ronnie, I feel more then good about his ability. When the Eagles were on the move to the top of the NFC east they didn't have a good season then a bad one the steadily improved from one season to the next, the same with the Pats or the Panthers or the Steelers. The Reason you Jet fans give them crdit is because they reached the top of the heap, but they had to go through the process to get there and thats where the fins are now. Jet fans just don't want to accept it thats why you don't see it. You can talk about the Pats QB or the Steelers line or the Seahawks D, but before they were at that point you weren't talking about them either, but I'm sure all the fans of those teams saw it and their division rival fans didn't it's that simple.
When the Dolphins acquired Culpepper I commented it was a perfect fit. He's good for helping a team get to 9-7 or 10-6 and then spit the bit in the playoffs. Whether that happens in 2006 or 2007, I don't know. I think 2007 is more likely.
I wrote: To that you respond: While I do think Saban is a good coach and taking the Phins in the correct direction. If Daunte and Saban were on the Jets, your opinions would be different. Oh, and let me respond for you here.....I wouldn't want Saban or Daunte on my team. They don't compare to what we have now!
You wrote a helluva lot more than that, and accused me of more than that. It is convenient to only point out one line of your previous post. I seriously think you have me confused with someone else. DC is an upgrade - true. DC has serious questions concerning his health - true. Saban did a great job last year, but it was his first year. Why is it wrong for me to not want to put him in the HOF just yet? Actually the only reason I wouldn't want DC on the Jets is because we already have one QB with significant health questions. Stick DC's arm on Penny's body and there would be one complete, whole QB. And I want to see what Mangini will do. I have a feeling he is going to do great, but I don't know, he hasn't coached one game yet. If you would have asked me last year, or maybe in 2 years from now, I would say yeah give me Saban. But I think it is too early to fairly evaulated Saban when he is only in his second year, and too early to give up on Mangini. I don't think any of the points I have made are unreasonable or bashing Miami in any way. And this is the first time I have discussed Miami with you in any meaningful way. The majority of my posts are about you accusing others of being biased when I think you are the biased one here. And I wrote that post in response to your accusations. To use my response as justification for your original post is illogical. Please give me an example, excluding my last post, where I knocked or tried to tear down the Phins (which I don't think I did).
I could care less what you think. You aren't convinced yet, oh well, or are you I'm really confused about what you're saying. Doesn't matter, I post here in response to what I read.
Hellllloooooo, Feelthepain ... This may come as a shock to a refugee from FinHeaven where some posters have likely booked SB parties and Nick Saban is worshipped as GOD, but the rest of the world isn't going to give the Fish the Super Bowl -- or enshrine their coach into the HOF -- based on 1 -- count 'em 1 -- 9-7 season and the acquisition of a QB with great stats but a losing record. The Pats, Steelers, and Seahawks have proven their quality on the field, the only place it counts. The Fish have proven nothing on field, and until they do, the skepticism about how good they really are will remain, especially among AFCE rivals.
Looks to me as if the Jets & Bills fans can't get out of that pile of denial they've slipped into. How cool is that?!?.....
I can't speak for Bills fans but this thread has nothing to do with the state of the Jets. I and most Jets fans on here have pretty realistic expectations for the upcoming season. This thread is all about the Phin fans unrealistic expectations..
Of course we do. Dolphin fans love to come around here after 1 year of winning 6 straight games and still not making the playoffs and run their mouths off on how we are being "unrealistic" about the upcoming year. They love to throw the "denial" word around. For a team that has accomplished nothing, they seem very upbeat about their chances. Good for them. They sound like us last year. Only difference is that we were coming off a season where one kick would have gotten us into the AFC championship game. 90% of the fans around here are very candid about what to expect in the upcoming year. I think that pisses them off even more. So they take a couple posts by some younger fans and label them as representing the entire site. What ever helps them sleep better at night.
Since when is winning the AFC East considered unrealistic??.... The Phinz have a very good chance this year, and you guys are just living in denial, as usual....
