Come on, jaywayne, you really think someone from Finheavan could recognize bias when they see it? That's like a fish seeing water.
Phins are looking good this season, but again, i dont think they'll be THAT good. I think they'll finish with the same record as last season and miss the playoffs. because. A) Culpepper has had a major knee injury and i dont think he'll ever be the same B) Culpepper might not even start at the beginning of the year, leaving joey harrington to fill in. A collosal underachiever C) lost what made their offense good last year- Scott Linehan D) more difficult schedule this year feelthepain i want to hear your prediction, record and how far they will get to the playoffs and why. im really interested in what is making everyone on this board so biased and so wrong
Where exactly did plasticsloth say anywhere in that post that the Jets will improve but the Phins won't? You just can not take ANY criticism of the Phins can you? Any arguments against the Phins HAS TO BE WRONG!!! Talk about biased.
This guy is already declaring the Dolphins the new NFL champs. Look, the Dolphins had an impressive last season after their 6 game winning streak and know the national media (and some of their fans) have already anointed them champs - there's a lot of pressure on a team that has a big time regular season like they did last year. All of the sudden you're expected to win it all and anything less is a collapse. The only thing about that is you still have to play the game - and we all know with football anything can and does happen. The Dolphins 6-game winning streak means nothing come Sept 7th @ 8:30 PM. And that’s why every NFL fan watches the game, that’s why we all believe. Peace out.
The Dolphins were 3-7 and although not mathematically eliminated, well c'mon now, who are we kidding they weren't making the playoffs after that start. The pressure was off after 10 games. We'll see how they handle pressure in September when the media annoints them a Super Bowl contender.
Whilst you make a good case...it's obvious that they were playing amazing. A playoff season isn't a stretch in the least bit.
That's b/c MOST "experts" just look at #s. daunte has good career #s. I'd be very excited w/ saban if I was a dolphin fan but I'd be very worried about daunte. Now it was all wanny's fault? You guys went through injuries, suspensions, quitting, etc... in 2004. That wasn't on Wanny, remember wanny did win TEN games in '03 which is 1 mo9re than Saban last year and Wanny has your only AFC East title since 1995 and did so w/ a team most people thought would win 7 or 8 games. I don't need 'experts" to tell me anything, I've atched Daunte for years and I have been telling everyone how overrated he's been for years. The game is not just about individual #s, it's about winning and daunte is NOT a winner. What does ths mean? B/c PFW ranks players a certain way that is gospel?
He's not a loser either. He is an upgrade however, and that's what most team who are interested in "winning", strive to accomplish during the off-season.... Junc, you can spin it anyway you please. You think adding Culpepper was a mistake, and I can deal with that, it's your opinion and you're entiled to it. Just remember though, you're in the minority here, not very many people in this business feel the same way about it. In fact, most think the opposite is true, and that Culpepper will rebound in Miami, making the Phinz better in the process...
