It's not insanity. It's rational thinking.

No. If this was 2-3 years ago, yes. Now, no.

It's not about being an apologist, but running a franchise....... you mention the JETS trading up to 5 for Sanchez..... that was because they didn't have much of a choice. They had a good team aside from 1 person to play the most important position.

While he had a poor season, he has still shown the potential as a good prospect. you don't trade up with the hopes of another prospect of working out, while you still have one.

Lets see, pay Manning 15+ million or pay Sanchez 15+ million?

I'll take Manning, thank you very much...Fused neck and all.

With that said, Manning won't come here. NY is a media circus, RR is not the type of Coach Manning will want to play for, its cold here and we don't play in a dome. Not to mention he will have to contend with Brady twice or possibly three times a year just to get into the playoffs. Not going to happen but we can dream, right?

Will Jets willingness to Sign Peyton be affected by Dolphins interest?

My view is that we will def. be the third best team in the AFC east should the Dolphins aquire Peyton. I would lean at making a serious run at Peyton in light of many facts...this being one of them.

There is always a choice. The Jets could have taken Freeman, they could have waited and drafted a qb in the later rounds, they could have not drafted a qb and signed one in training camp. Sanchez was not the only option. The Jets just felt he was the best option.

Well, 3 years later, he is not the best option. Nor is he the only option.

And you say that we had a good team aside from "1 person to play the most important position." Well, what exactly is the difference today? We still dont have a qb, and a team that gets older with every passing year.

As for prospects, I disagree that he showed anything thaat should make you not want to trade up for RG3 if the cost is not prohibitive. Let alone potentially moving up only a few spots to get a Ryan Tannenhill if he slips into the early teen's.

Maybe they aren't dumb enough to want a 36 year old QB with a broken neck.

Does a broken neck make him worse than Mark Sanchez? Honestly. He can lock into one guy and throw into quadruple coverage just as well as Mark Sanchez can.

For people to talk about his nexk ignores how bad Sanchez is with a healthy neck, and that is very disrespectful to Peyton.

If Manning is and Brady is a Pat, I cant wait to hear everyone talk about how Sanchez is a great qb.

Then, I will look forward, after he throws for 4500 yards, 35 td, 10 int, .66% completion rate, how much of a risk he was when Sanchez goes for 3000, 25 td, 20 int, 10 fumbles, .55%.

    Those will be happy days.

Yea, we'd have no chance with a top 3 qb to win the superbowl.

Braylon Edwards > Peyton Manning.. right?

You could plug almost any name you can think of in there in place of Manning and the results would be the same..welcome to TGG.

    There will always be excuses.

Next year its gonna be because we have a new coordinator

The year after it'll be because 5th year qb's dont do great or something like that

The year after it'll be the turf on the field

The year after it'll be Rex's fault

After that it'll be Jets fans fault for booing him in 2011

Then when he finally gets dropped we'll be the evil organization

You must be Giant fans cause the ssame shit was being spewed about Eli at the end of his 3rd year.

I remember my homer Giant Fan cousing talking about how Reese and the Mara's should burn at the stake and know nothing about football anymore and they traded 2 picks for Eli and they should have kept rivers blah blah blah.

Why don't you guys just become fans of the teams with really good QBs like the Colts, Patriots, Hou, Saints, Giants, etc.

Wouldn't it be easier to have more recent SB's to talk about instead of always bashing the team your a fan of? Or letting the Fo develop a QB instead of stealing someone away from another team? You should be pushing for the Jets to after Rivers or Schaub. They are a lot younger aren't they? isn't that a better long term solution?

If you are looking for an all time great near the end of thier career then I'm sure Favre would stop the retirement process. Vinney is still in good shape. Maybe Penny can borrow the Bionic Man's arm for a season?

What would make you guys happy? Just curious.....
