I said it was universally accepted 250 years ago and that is absolutely true. The early 19th century was 200 years ago. I agree with the rest of your post wholeheartedly. The abolitionists get going largely because of groups like the Quakers, the philosophes, and to a lesser extent de las Casas.

Lord you are horrendous. First off, there is no such thing as an Idzik apologist because he has done nothing wrong. If you think he's done something wrong, then you're probably a fan of the Mike Tannenbaum/Miami Dolphins/Washington Redskins way of doing things, and that just about says all I need to know about you. Second, I don't know that I would characterize this current version of Michael Vick as low character.

    Do you eat meat?

    Lmao

Give me a break about the love for animals bullshit. I've owned over ten dogs and countless reptiles. He did what he did, it's over and I don't care about it anymore.

I hope he signs with this team. Not because it will ween out all the shitty fans, but because it will provide the necessary competition to help Geno grow.

Please give it a break, you make it sound like the top free agents all wanted to play for the jets and he turned them all away.

Some top free gents make decisions on more than just money, family and personal preferences top their list.

who thinks is cool to bread animals for no other purpose this is sick and sadistic pleasure of watching them
fight to the death and financial gain from this sick pleasure. Next Question?

My apologies god i had not realized you deemed this discussion as over. Beyond that eat a cock meat sandwhich he should be kidnapped
and forced to fight multiple people in order to live. Once done he should be sold to someone else who can do the same thing to him.

I have always wished death on him for what he did and for me and many other it is not over/done and wont be until he suffers properly.

If grammar is the best thing you can come up with this discussion is clearly over.

Has nothing to do with being a message board authority. Everything to do with common sense.

Its not the only thing. You said "next question".

It's kind of hard to read your posts when you can't make out anything you are saying.

No. Not even a little bit. He's old and can't stay healthy. I have no problem with him being on an NFL team, I just don't want him on ours. I am so disappointed this is even a question.

I never wanted Michael Vick near the Jets, but Geno Smith was so terrible last year, that I actually find Vick a better alternative. In many ways, that is sad.

I hope this was a joke. There's a huge difference between killing something for food and having animals kill each other for sport/gambling. It's twisted and deranged. Please never get a dog.

On a side note, I can separate my fandom from my respect. I do not respect Vick nor do I condone what he has done (which goes for plenty of NFL players, not just him as a dog killer). If he were a Jet, I'd root for him to succeed. I'd rather he just not be a Jet though.

I'm not sure if you are purposely exaggerating that comment or if you truly lack the ability to read?

I also realize the complete hypocrisy between my post and my avatar, but I get the feeling no lobsters were hurt in the taking of this lobster knife fight photo.

Whether you are pro or anti Vick, there is clearly a subset of hardcore fans, casual fans, spouses, sponsors etc that will shun the team if he is brought on regardless of what he adds on the field.

This is something that needs to be taken into account by management. Whether you think this should matter or not - it's reality. Woody isn't going to want to see picketing at the games, people dumping tickets etc.

I don't think the fan reaction in Philly will be as harsh as it will be in NY/CT which are traditionally blue states.

If he ate the dogs after he fought them against each other, then he would be like every other meat-eating individual in the United States. Torturing the animals before simply eating them.
