Holmes certainly has the talent to be a Top 10 as does Keller (at least from a receiving standpoint). It's a matter of if they can put it together consistently.
hmmm.... the one person who has the biggest impact on this way of thinking is kyle wilson. if the jets even entertain this they best be fielding one of the best front sevens in the last 20 years.
I wouldn't trade Revis Early in the season...he was single handedly winning games for us (Dallas, Miami, big contribution vs SD), so that debunks the argument about the value of a CB Revis is unique... Jets will be sorry if they traded him
I'm thinking the kind of package you take for Revis is DeMarcus Ware and the 14 or Elvis Dumervil, the 25 and the 57. Obviously Terrell Suggs and the 29 would be ok also but the Ravens aren't that stupid.
Upshaw wont be an Elite passrusher in this league. He will be a good one, but he doesnt have the ceiling that JPP or Aldon SMith do. I would say he’ll be an 8-10 sack guy if we’re lucky... I highly doubt he would be that passrushing monster we need. Thats the only knock on Upshaw.
I'm thinking that Upshaw would be like James Farrior, a filler at ROLB for a season or two and then inside to replace Bart Scott when the Jets found a real pass rusher to play outside. Harris and Upshaw would be a really good tandem inside.
Imo Kyle Wilson is still very much a question mark. I know many here (and for a period there I was one of them) thought he was much improved from the year before. But by season's end he seemed to play more poorly, maybe he was tired by the length of the season, and after all he HAD to improve from the year before or he risked getting dumped. Bottom line is he is not yet starting caliber quality as an NFL cb.
Ftr I wouldn't worry too much about Brad's suggestion. Everything we know about Rex Ryan and his attitude toward D indicates he will not trade Revis.
