You're right, Martin had a ridiculous contract, which is exactly why we had to let Lamont go. Runningback is one of the easiest positions in the world to fill with a good young player, and when Lamont left, nobody knew Martin would collapse that fast. He was the NFL's rushing leader at the worst time for us. Nobody could have predicted he would have been gone, and we couldn't pay 5 million dollars a year for a backup. We can draft an RB when we need one or Washington or Houston or someone can take the job. Most runningbacks in the NFL are as good as their offensive lines are. There are a couple of elite ones, and then there are a ton of guys who are all about above average and who can look elite with a great line in front.
they have a noodle arm at qb, and had a noodle brain mascarading as g.m. as for head coach, he was al dente.
Hey, you want to continue to traverse the noodle route, so be it. I'm done trying to eradicate that term from the tgg lexicon. Feel free to continue using the term like it's going out of style.
I think you have run the table on noodle jokes. Pretty soon you might have to go the route of Rip Taylor; start throwing glitter and take your act to Vegas.
 The Jets have cap problems as is, they didn't need Jordan compounding them. He would've been a great back for us, Martin just kept producing long after the Jets thought he would stop. In retrospect if only he could've fallen apart one year earlier.
Well, considering Jordan is a very good RB and Martin is basically done, yes we should have held onto Jordan. However, we made a run at a title last year and failed miserably, so you can't blame the Jets too badly for that.
It wud have been good if u cud have kept LaMont but its all about money. do u think we wud have let go of Lawyer Milloy, Ty Law, Curtis Martin, Terry Glenn, Willie MaC, Givens, Patten and of course the Adam Vinatieri if it wasn;t 4 the money
