    I think we have to win out to make it. I can't coe up with a scenario where we beat Miami and Pitt if we finish 8-8. So far, so good...

    I posted this in the game thread, but it quickly got buried.

    Please, correct me if I'm wrong; but even if his arm was going forward, wouldn't it have still been a fumble since the ball went backwards?

    No, any forward motion from his arm makes an incomplete pass.
    Since his arm was not in a forward motion its ruled a fumble

    No if his arm was going forward it would be counted as incomplete because he was hit on the play
