While I agree that all those guys are essential, having an offense is pretty important too. And if we go back to having Cotch as our only wr I honestly dont think we have a shot at a superbowl.

The rules favor passing far too much, and if your team doesnt have a single receiving threat have fun running into a completely stacked run blitz every play.

When the Jets are a win now team with limited draft picks why would they go into the draft assuming that none of these guys will be back? That really doesn't make any sense.

Why wouldn't they go into the draft grab depth on both lines and worry about WR/CB next year IF they have too?

Besides, one of those WRs will be back almost certainly. My money's on Holmes because he can catch and although I've never played the position, it seems to give a guy the advantage over a guy who can't.

Plus I am about to change my Pennington jersey to a Holmes jersey and it would be very convenient.

But we've got some time with those guys. If Tanny front loads some contracts he can spread them out.

    According to NYjetscap
The only guy who's a UFA next off season is Mangold. Harris is an RFA.

Offseason after 2012 Superbowl Brick's a free agent. Then the next year it's Revis.

And if Jets management has shown anything with how they've dealt with guys in the past (most recently Thomas Jones), if you whine about money, you're gone.

I agree, concussions aren't serious injuries either.

Yes, just ask Al Toon, or Wayne.

I don't think Cro is going anywhere. Rex is a great coach to play for, especially as a defensive player not named Carrie. He will not be playing in Revis's shadow. The two of them are going to be doing their own thing, and they'll be touted as the best tandem in the league. That's enough to appease anyones ego.

As far as the other two. I just hope we can keep one of our new WR, while paying the guys we have to.

My view, and that is after all what matters, is that it is do or die for these Jets. There is nothing to prevent us re-loading next year or thereafter, thanks to clever cap/salary management.

It all depends on what these players want out of their career. During the Patriots dynasty many players signed on at a discount just to be part of something special.

Just say we have a great upcoming year and they want to keep it going we could keep them all and sign some more.

Besides we don't even know that the new agreement will be, a higher cap I think would almost be a guarantee, and not just a minuscule increase.

That's really interesting. So, am I missing something here? Do we expect Revis to demand a new deal and hold out until he gets one? Everyone on here seems to feel we need to resign BEdwards, Cro, Holmes, Harris, Revis, Mangold, and DBrick, but that's not what this site shows....

I and others have said we believe Holmes or Edwards returns, not both.

    Ah come on,

Braylon just punched some dude in the face
Cromarte just banged too many women without wrapping his shaft
and Holmes allegedly threw a glass at some woman and smoked some weed.

There are plenty of guys who have done worse in this laegue

Sorry, poor phrasing on my part. I meant to say that all of those guys are FAs (of one sort or another), and will be off the team if they don't get new (expensive) contracts.

With QBs now refusing to throw anywhere near Revis, Cromartie's going to get his fair share of Int opportunities because he'll be seeing a much bigger number of balls (go ahead, I'll wait) than a CB with his talent would ordinarily see.
