Something terrible happened. Draft "experts" started hyping him up from being a late 1st round pick until the hype snowballed so much that a team got swindled into taking him in the top ten
OR maybe Sanchez was thinking: I keep putting the ball right on these assholes and they wont catch it, so im going to have to go on another lunch date with tubby you'd be frowning too
why does he keep hitting his receivers in the back? why cant special teams block a punt? why is rex ryan fat? why are we a 4 loss team?
I hope you're not familiar with "48 HRS," "Coming to America," "Trading Places," or "Beverly Hills Cop."
I think the more likely reason for a few bad games would be that he is 24 years old, in his 2nd year, under the scrutiny of the NY media, and got no help from his teammates or coaches.
We need a poll to decide who is more to blame for the offense's woes: Schottenheimer or Sanchez I say Schitty. It's like clockwork when throwing on first - Sanchez makes a bad throw. Wildcat for loss of yardage. Long 3rd down. Sanchez does something worse. That's the OC, in my opinion. Fire him - use the Madden 11 Artificial Intelligence offense on difficult level setting. It will be far more dynamic than Schotty's O.
I blame Schotty for the Week 1 loss to the Ravens, the WR drops for the Packers loss, the whole team for the Pats loss, and Sanchez for this loss....
Why must all blame/praise always funnel to the QB or Coordinator? The blame for the offensives struggles should be on the offense.
But it's Brian Schottenheimer's fault that Sanchez's passes were off, the WRs couldn't hang on to the ball - even on easy catches - and the OLine struggled against the pass rush and couldn't move the pile!!!11!!11!! (Schottenheimer still needs to be fired)
What really annoying me is the offensive line, they have been bad for a while and I'm sitting here watching SNY post game listening to them destroy the RB's as if they should be able to break a hundred tackles and not mentioning the Oline what so ever, well actually they are now kind of talking about the Oline, but not as much as they should be.
You blame Sanchez for #10's dropping of a sure TD pass and for #89's drop over the middle in the 4th quarter?
Exactly - I think the O line takes the bulk of the blame today (although the rest of the O including Schotty also sucked). They gave up the line of scrimmage on almost every play and constantly allowed Dolphins into our backfield to either blow up the run or force Sanchez out of the pocket. They look absolutely horrible lately.
I don't know about anything happening to him, but you could see his emotions via his body language pretty much all day. I don't know what's on his mind, but he looked pretty flustered.
Actually, Eddie Murphy's career is a nice analogy for this season. Awesome start and collapsing into suckiness.
