I still don't blame Cotch. If Rex and Tanny think Burress is good enough right now to be our number 2, then so be it. I might not agree with it, but then again THEY are the talent evaluators on a professional level.

I guess athletes have a hard time accepting what they are sometimes. He's a solid guy, and a gamer ... but he's a #3 on a good team. To quote Westhoff talking to to that backup tight end ... "You're not Gonzalez"

Why, he couldn't risk being a #3 again and lowering his market value if he was cut next season. Can't blame the guy for wanting to be somewhere he could start.

That is a great story neglecting the fact he asked out in February, way before he was asked to take a paycut and again before this month as well again before the alleged paycut.

He takes a paycut, the Jets guarantee his money over the next 2 years. That is exactly what Bart and Pace did. Except they are still going to recieve a significant portion of their money the next 2 years, Cotchery isn't. He already received 15+ million the last 4. Why on earth would he restructure for 3mill?

So he asks for and gets his release graciously and both parties win......The Jets do not have an unhappy player and Cotchery is free to make a deal and possibly get more over the next few years.

Why on earth is there a need to cry and make stuff up about all of this? Cotchery nor the Jets are altruistic in this thing.

You're right, I posted after that I am more angry at the position the Jets are in now.

Yeah, I'm kind of bummed by that too. I figured if Plax "lost it" in jail then Cotch would be a fine 2nd WR. Now I think they're fucked if Plax sucks, unless Jeremy Kerley can really step it up or we sign a vet that can perform.

I'm more pissed at Braylon for being a fucking moron in general, miscalculating his market worth, being butthurt, getting signed for dogshit by the 49ers, and on top of that not resigning with the Jets once he realized he wasn't getting paid.

Yeah the whole Braylon thing was just his ego. Unless he got something close to Holmes he wouldn't even look. I'm sure the Jets offered more than the Niners after the bar mishap and his dumbass would rather go and become irrelevant.
