Good thing Mims isn't playing today. We don't need him with Zach to Davis connection going as well as it is...
Yeah that's true. Good thing because Zach would have 5 interceptions throwing outside while Mims thinks he's taking a handoff
Lafleur has to be a hard ass and send a message though, that’s going to make Mims learn all the plays in the playbook, he may get so good he can be assistant OC.
I just remember the looser NCjetsfan said Mims was a upgrade over Robbie Anderson and said the 2020 jets would be 10-6
Is this really a surprise ? During the draft when half of the NFL needed a WR, they passed on him and took someone worse leaving him alone for the jets lol
Look, I might be the asshole here but the over throws by Zack might have been caught by Mims. Also, our wide outs aren't good enough to have Mims sit like this. And finally, if he does indeed get traded this has to look bad on JD considering his entire draft class last year is either hurt constantly or cut
Yes, Wilson was throwing the ball saying "I'm throwing it 6 ft 4 inches off the ground." In no way was he missing his throws high, and those throws would not have been high if a taller receiver was there. Maybe 1 or 2, but he was missing high all game. He would have thrown them 7 plus feet because he was aiming high and missing high.
It is absolutely absurd that Mims is not on the field. The dude is physically gifted, find a way to GET HIM ON THE FIELD.
Mims is doing the right thing not wasting his time learning the plays to this travesty of a playbook.
That’s true, but our offense is still lacking in playmakers and any kind of real threat. We have zeros at tight end, decent but meh rb’s, and right now 2 OK WRs Atleast Mims maybe keeps the DB’s a little honest and can make some plays out of very little Coaches and Mims himself need to figure it out ASAP, this is bullshit
It's either Mims is terrible or the coaching staff is terrible...but one of them has to be true to have a second-round pick being a healthy scratch in year #2 for the likes of Braxton Berrios and Jeff Smith
My eyes and common sense tell me it’s not Mims. The offensive coaching, playcalling, and overall operation has been a trainwreck so far to be honest through 2 games. Not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on Mims at this moment, sorry
I'm not giving the staff any benefit of the doubt either, but really you would THINK that a regime would want players it drafted 'one year ago' to actually play and not be a healthy scratch all things being close to equal. And that's with Crowder also being a late injury scratch, Mims is really never getting any run if he gets healthy.
