    I am a younger fan and admit I have never heard of Dennis byrd before but he has one heck of a story and I am really impressed

    That speech by Byrd really touched this team. I'm glad Rex asked him to speak to them to put this in perspective for them. I hope they carry that through the rest of the playoffs.

    Cried the day Thurman Munson was laid to rest.

    Cried when Dennis Byrd didn't get up.

    It doesn't happen often but there are times in sports when life is more important than the game. Dennis Byrd should be an inspiration to all.

    For those younger fans, google the movie or read his book. You won't be disappointed.

    Heard on the Michael Kay show this afternoon that Dennis Byrd will be out for the coin flip Sunday vs. Pittsburgh.

    If true, that is fucking awesome.
