The Jets didn't hit late. If they had, the league would have followed through on their threat. Since it was only the Pats doing it, they didn't feel the need to follow through on that threat.
I was stunned. I kept telling my girlfriend if we got to Brady at least once you'd see 7 yellow flags on the field. Let's see if any Pat gets fined, since I thought the warning was fines would follow personal fouls for unnecessary roughness in this game.
Main thing I don't understand about any of this.... When he calls the Jets out for being classless (I'm really starting to hate the word classy), how come not one reporter asked him about yelling at Rex during the 4th quarter? How come not one reporter asked him why he was doing the jet plane celebration in the 45-3 game? Matter of fact...how come not one reporter asked Welker about the Jets footwork in this particular game? I love the whining, it means we won, but why don't these pencil pushing douchebags do their jobs and ask the kind of questions that should be asked?
I doubt it. Don't let it fool you, the Welker "benching" was nothing but a bullshit move to tweak the Jets and take a shot at how they perceive the way we do things over here. Ohhh... they benched him. Please. He returned the first punt. He was the first fucking guy on the Pats to even touch the ball. Other than Gray-me's toe I guess.
Come on man, you're killing me with your sig. It's not my fault I'm lacking in the pop culture dept.
I think Branch is the one who doesn't know how to act - he's a sore loser because he couldn't actually believe the Jets would win this game. Celebrating a big win is not classless. The Pats were overconfident and couldn't believe the Jets didn't just bow down to them as soon as they took the field. Jets hit them in the mouth and the Pats had no answer.
From Tedy Bruschi: http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/columns/story?columnist=bruschi_tedy&id=6030037
He's done an outstanding job as a commentator. Unlike Rodney Harrison, who's still a clown, Bruschi has done a nice job. He's pretty fair and unbiased.
I like him as well although you can tell he really hates us he doesn't allow that to cloud his judgment and he has been more than fair w/ us.
In case Deion Branch and a few Pats fans need some reminding... Embedding not allowed for this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug17-hRH5e8
I hated Tedy as a player but as an analyst he is one of the best. He tells it like it is and you have to respect a guy telling it like it is especially when he calls the only team he ever played for, the one that gave him 3 SB rings out for being sore. He doesn't pull that Deion crap when he never says anything bad about the Cowboys or Deirdumb playing favorites. I think Bruschi really likes Rex and wishes he could have played for him because I think Rex is his kind of guy. One that walks loud and carries a big stick.
