They could kill two birds with one stone if they find a solid NT. They could then move Robertson over to end where I think he'd be a lot better off. He has talent but it seems like NT is too much for him to handle.
i figure they need a burner(WR) and a bruiser(RB) on offense as well as a 320 pound guard. On defense, a nasty lineman, a nasty big LB and maybe a corner? It seems like a lot. I am on record for a QB change too. But I don't think we go to a Super Bowl next year so a 2 year plan is not so bad. I like Baker, think he has good hands and can block, and would have caught a lot more passes if they were not obsessed with protection. He made some real veteran clutch plays this year. But we need outside speed at WR, and power and speed at RB. Leon has speed and Cedric has power. That won't do. You need both on the same play. With 29 mill or so on the cap and 3 pretty good picks, I think 2 years is not unreasonable.
i think this may be the smartest move. i've heard people suggest trying to acquire Sands in FA from Oakland as our NT. Sands/Moore/Tui/late draft pick would allow us to focus on other positions with those first three picks. i still think at #26 Woodley is a good selection, good value there. however, i fear that his combine numbers will boost him up the draft charts and someone will select him before he has a chance to reach us. cheers
Raiders are working ON an extension for Terdel Sands as we speak. Raiders need a Sands and Probably another big run defender to play next to him. Tom kelly most likely will be playing DE next season. Maybe Pouha (28 years old) will make his presence felt at NT for Jets. Also I thought Jets lost Tui as he was claimed by a team.
