This is all true, but we had a Hall of Fame QB who is known for taking chances, they had a guy who hadn't started a game since high school, playing before a hostile crowd. Plus, they still have a better overall team, so we were the ones who probably needed to do something besides run into the line three times on 1st and goal from the 3.

Times change but not the Jets!

Hope you are right, but doubt it. they don't seem to have the courage to open it up. Just trying to keep it close and hope the other team makes a mistake not with Coach Bill making sure to teach the kid (mangenius) who's really in charge.

I don't see any effort to incorporate the arm strength of Favre over the shot puts of Chad into the mix. Hopefully, I'm wrong but I don't thiink so, considering ownerships total lack of concern for the paying fans why should the coaching staff be any different. Stayed at a hotel in the area 3 miles from stadium but with only one exit to all directions it took an hour to get to the hotel after that scintillating game. I could go on and on but after having season tix for 40 plus years I should be used to the uninspired play calling and timid coaching staff.

I've been saying all along that the offense was not taylored to Chad, they played him because he fit it the best out of everyone they had available. When this staff came in with this offense in 2006 they had no idea if Chad could still play or who the QB would be. I agree they should alter it now that Favre is here, but I don't think they were running dinks and dunks because Chad was here, I think they used Chad because this offense is designed for dinks and dunks.

I can't find fault with anything you say, but NE still has one heck of a defensive line and the 3 runs at that time in the game were almost Hackett-like in conservatism and predictability.

this to me sums it all up. it IS a coaching issue. we have talent but we have no one guiding it correctly. especially on offense. yes we signed a lot of guys that help the run game, but we did also sign one of the greatest qb's of all time. how about using him a little. bottom line: as much as i hate joining the who needs to be fired group, i have to say i cant stand shotty. does he even know we have favre? and on a side note, is laverneus coles able to see enough through the tears of his sadness for the pennington release to catch a god damn ball? two big ones dropped that hit his hands. no excuses

That's ok, IF you send in Kris Jenkins as a TE.

So what's the difference between the Pats and Jets that makes them able to pull the rabbit out of the hat? Preparation. Talent only takes you so far. There's a reason teams hire so many coaches. Someone isn't doing their job. (Personally, I think it's all the coaches.)

I am still angry about some of the playcalling and the inability to get positive yardage on many plays but overall we did very well against a superior team. We were only down 6-3 at halftime. Our defense for the most part was stellar. Unfortunately at the end we switched to a tried and not true Jet tactic of playing constant prevent defense. Yeah... There's 6 minutes left, we're down, let's let them slowly move down the field and eat up the clock while not pressuring the QB at all and hopefully let them score.

All sarcasms aside, our biggest problems were special teams and clutch playcalling.

We need to get our kicker/punter situation straightened out soon as possible or this season is seriously lost.

Me and my friend are gonna try out. We've never kicked or punted a football in our lives but we can't do much worse then what we've got.
