And that's why you're a fan at home and not a GM making decisions for a team. Any team would be absolutely stupid to trade their #9 overall pick before he's even played a full 16 NFL games or even had a training camp. Milliner's first year is still going, in case you haven't noticed. You are presenting me with a fallacious argument asking me to compare his FIRST NINE GAMES to shitty jets that turned it around, plus you keep changing the question. There are very few home grown Jets superstars out there in the first place because they are constantly rearranging this team. You are saying he's done nothing, but that's not true. He has done some things, one of which is adjusting to man coverage while his previous team was mostly about zone. The kid is getting better, he's slowly improving his techniques. Yes, you are impatient wanting to trade him just 9 games into his career. Get outta here. Fans like that make me want to find another team. Too much bad karma and constant negativity in the air. No wonder they haven't won it in 40 years.
The best solution would be "fans" like that to go root for another team, one that they don't loathe and despise. But sadly, they'll just hang around and whine.
He really was, but people forget this. He actually made his name on special teams before he was a shut down corner Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
If by the middle of next season we are not seeing any improvement, we have a problem. Too early to give a verdict at this point.
The only people that forgot this were people that either didn't watch the Cardinals play or just looked at stats. Same type of people that bring up Peyton Mannings rookie year when talking about Geno.
I can name plenty of Jets who struggled early in their career & became solid players. Sione Pouha Dewayne Robertson Jerricho Cotchery D'brickashaw Ferguson Bryant Thomas Marcus Coleman Most rookie corners who start struggle the same way Milliner is. They get picked on till they lose their confidence & start leaning away from their technique. I believe the criticism stems from the fact that their haven't been many rookie CBs who have started for the Jets over the years except for Revis & Aaron Glenn. Arguably 2 of the best corners in team history.
Dee will be a starter for us for years , aside from the fact he has hands like feet he has all the tools to be a very good corner.
Lets just hope he doesn't follow the path of his boy over in Cincy, Kirkpatrick. These Alabama corners are overhyped if you ask me. We need to go after that kid Dennard from Michigan State... Kid can ball. Or even Roby from Ohio State... Too bad they will be long gone in the first 10 picks and we can't afford to draft a corner in the 1st anyway..
My 2 favorite CBs in the draft are Justin Gilbert and Kyle Fuller. Both provide great value as they both are great special teams players. Gilbert in the return game and Fuller with coverage. I would lean more towards Fuller; since he is projected to go later, it would allow us to use the earlier picks on offense.
Played good today... Not saying too much though against the Raiders... Let's see how he does against Steve Smith and Lafell
I thought he played well today, he had that missed tackle early on but didn't get beat and had really good coverage on that pass play in the endzone. I don't care if it's the Raiders because a positive sign is a good thing.
