Ranker is a good starting point, but there's a whole bunch of red herrings in their list.

 

I was going over some possibilities for picks but realized that some of them are probably not well known enough to be considered celebrities even if they were in a few shows or played some sports. Some of them are good picks though, from a pending death standpoint, so I would hate to not pick them and then have someone else pick them. Does anyone think it would be a good idea to throw those names up as "not famous enough" so there is no question later. I only have about 3 or 4 of them.

But in case people here think that one or more of those people are famous enough, you may want to wait until your next pick rolls around so you can take that pick, to avoid an annoying situation.

Well they do have to be celebrities and many times there are questions if the person is famous enough.
Last year my Big Ang pick got a lot of "Who is that?" but she had been the "star" on a TV show for 6 or 7 years, just a show that most here wouldn't watch.

Edit: My next 2 should be good so guess I'll just hold off and see if any of the others are picked and if anyone else thinks they are questionable.

I think he's trying to avoid being challenged on celebrity status and just wants to eliminate those picks to avoid that situation, which I like, but also trying to avoid the situation of deciding they weren't celebrity enough and then having to challenge someone after the fact.

I agree with his idea.

 

Or we can stand on our left foots and raise our right hands and promise not to take your picks if you showed them ahead of time.

Edit: ah. I would have accepted her even though I think basically anyone can be on reality tv for no reason.

 

Reality TV kind of raises a question about this. There are shows on the science channels about a person with terrible medical conditions that are basically a documentary about their struggle against death.

I'd be against all of them.

I've never watched any of them, but there's some show called "My 600lb life" that I would challenge all day long. Shit like that.

Ice Road Truckers, Deadliest Catch, those shows are basically a reality producer hoping they can catch someone dying on camera for ratings.

Same here, I almost took her instead of the Pope, but I gambled, mainly because her 91st birthday is in April.
