Ummm, Moss isn't a route running WR anyway. He is a fly route guy.

He doesn't need anytime to learn their offense.

Thus I throw Cro on him. No way I put Revis with a questionable hammy on Moss running 60 yard patterns.

That's all well and good, but he'll be coming off sitting out most if not all of a season. I prefer that guy to Randy Moss.

The Moss extension talks are going to extend onward btw. This is going to be priceless. The Vikings just bought themselves as big a headache as they did an asset.

This was my exact thinking when the rumors started about the Pats trading Moss.

Granted, Jackson wants a new contract and so did Moss, but I'd feel a tad bit better about paying a 27 year old WR in his prime, than a 33 year old WR who may have a year or 2 tops left of decent/good production.

    yep, that's what I expected.

third rounders don't cost much, against the cap or otherwise.

    Nope.

If they go FA WR it will be one of ours...OF course they now have enough picks to trade up for AJ Green.

I can't believe how many people are ripping the Vikings for this deal. They just got one of the best receivers in the history of football for a 3rd round pick!

Sure, Moss can be a malcontent and he's nearing the end of the road. But Minny only has a 1-2 year window to win anyway, why not take the chance? I also find it interesting that many of the same people who praised the Jets very similar acquisition of Braylon Edwards last year are down on the Vikings giving up less to get Moss.

Moss might play 17 regular season games this year. No bye for you! Nutty.

You were right Yis. I guess they really wanted to move him. or he was becoming a headache and they decided to give him what he wants and got (a little) something in return.

Brady must've signed off, so that probably tells you where they think Moss' head was at.

This is hyperbole! That offense will still be the very very good.

Tate is gonna line up in Moss position. Welker will stay where he is, and hernandez and Edelman will be third and 4th.

As a Pats fan, I am really torn by this. I have no idea how it will play out. But you are right, this stuff makes the season even more interesting for NFL fans.

As far as the 17 games, he'll need the extra one to make up the 0-fer Monday!

Look at the last two, pretty good with the possibility of them being great.

If he wasn't one strike from a year suspension, this might have some legs. I doubt they'll do it now.

I'm waiting to see what they get for Mankins. You know he's gonna get traded any day barring a new contract (which is still possible).

Not that low-cost if he walks at the end of the year.

Chicago would be desperate enough & dumb enough to give the PATS whatever they want for Mankins. They cant draft well with the pick anyway so it would make sense to them to give it away for Mankins.
