Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter An OL move in NY: Jets bolstered their offensive line, signing two-time Pro-Bowl guard Rodger Saffold III to their practice squad with the intent to promote him to their active roster, per source. Saffold last played with Buffalo in 2022.
I don’t think he plays inside. Wouldn’t solve the biggest issue. But yea considering the Giants were missing both tackles and didn’t sign him either makes me think those injuries got the best of him.
Ok. So you’re saying that Boyle is a better option than Dobbs, right, since he knows our complex offense?
funny reply since my comment was WE don't have all the info. that includes me. you are acting like the know it all right now TBH. i'm just saying that JD has a plan we aren't privy too. You think he's taking a power nap and doing nothing
nope not possible. everyone here said he's too busy playing halo and eating cheetos while other GMs work
I mean the giants didn't sign him then a week later signed just pugh off his couch so obviously somehting is up with collins we aren't privy too
In the meantime I guess a 7th was too much to ask for Lawson---curious, do you see this present situation as a JD success, failure, or neutral regarding Lawson.
lawson didn't pan out in the long run. hindsight is always 20/20. but the signing made sense at the time. saleh loves having edge rushers and we had literally none. he had to change the whole D from greg williams system to salehs. thats a full turnover pretty much. the only holdover we have is Q. lawson was an younger up and coming edge on the rise and was only 15mil a year. benagls fans were unhappy about them letting him walk only to wind up singing hendrickson for the same price. hendrickson worked out better though and JD added since then JFM (waivers), clemens (Draft), huff (UDFA), JJ (draft), WMD (Draft) and that made Lawson expendable. He built one of the top d-lines in the NFL in the matter of 3 off seasons so the 1 whiff is what it is
Ya--I agree with the original signing--what do you think of the restructure at seasons beginning--we could have let him walk for 1mm if memory serves. Do you hold staff accountable for not recognizing the signs of impending poor physical performance?
