I have the game and tape and will watch it again, but I specifically recall one or two of those sacks from the left side came on blitzes from players other than the DE Ferguson was blocking. I don't think you can blame the LT when there is a blitzing player to his left and he is forced to block the blitzer or his man. He can't block two men. This is not meant to excuse sacks he gave up under different circumstances.

  2. I watched him pretty closely throughout the game...

He had a poor first half, giving up 2 sacks(one of which as on a false start penalty...

But i thought he played pretty good in the second half and had his man completely locked up, on all the 2nd half sacks.

He needs to learn to be more consistent..but his ability to dominate is clearly there.

The point is that people are attacking the Jets pocket from that direction as a preference at this point and they are doing it from the outside. That reflects directly on how teams view the left tackle. The Cowboys came a lot from that side also.

In the Baltimore game the Ravens attacked from that direction so often that the Jets had to move Baker over there to handle the blitzes.

If defenses thought they could get by Clements with the same ease then they'd be blitzing on that side most of the time.

There is common sense here, too. It's better to attack the QB from his blindside.

There's also the fact that our LG isn't good either. They're overloading the weakest point of the line to take advantage of a less than stellar LG situation.

D'Brickashaw needs to put on some weight... His technique is getting better and better, but, at his height, he struggles immensely to get leverage against inside rushers..... He does not have a low center of gravity, so he needs to put on some weight so he's not so easy to take on bull-rush moves...

I swear, this guy has got to be the only OT in the NFL with a size 36 waist....

2 players? I think you are old senile and stupid but I just love when you confirm it.

Hey Champ like I said when I say," you are a complete Joke." I can back it up with facts............... your ridiculous, inane, illegible posts. Now do the same and find where I ever said the Jets are 2 players away. Please?
